PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Software Developer Intern, Medtronic Inc., Los Angeles May 2014 to present
Worked in Software R&D, Development and Testing of web-based backend and frontend for an automated, database-driven
Glucose sensor test system. Used Python, C and MATLAB.
Graduate Engineering Intern, Tata Teleservices Limited, Mumbai June to July 2013
Executed failure analysis to determine maximum counter failures in Key Performance Indicators related to 2G & 3G data
traffic. Implemented measures to improve the performance degradation across these base stations.
Senior Design Engineer, Larsen and Toubro Ltd., Mumbai June 2010 to Dec 2012
Worked in the Electronics team for electronic trip units of circuit breakers and was involved in the Application Development,
Design Validation, Product development, Testing and Troubleshooting of the electronic trip units. Simulated and redesigned
wired and wireless communication modules based on Modbus, CAN and Bluetooth protocols.
PROJECTS
CMOS Low Noise Amplifier Design for Bluetooth v2.1 Receiver using Cadence Virtuoso May 2014
Designed and simulated a CMOS Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) in 0.1 um technology for a mobile receiver system using
Cadence Spectre RF. LNA was designed to provide enough gain to close the link and support 4-GFSK modulation with
acceptable Bit Error rate.
Digital Modulation Systems Simulation in MATLAB April 2014
Simulated the BER and SER (Bit/Symbol Error Rate) performance of MPSK and M-QAM Digital Modulation system.
Modelled the channel as an AWGN channel and the receiver as a coherent detector. (with and without phase errors)
Android Application on weather prediction March 2014
Designed and implemented an android application to predict the weather conditions of any city worldwide. Used JavaScript
along with Android SDK and Development tools to design the UI and parse and display the weather data.
IEEE 802.11 Saturation Throughput Analysis in NS2,TCL and MATLAB November 2013
Simulated an analytical model to compute and predict the saturation throughput performance in an IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi
network that uses CSMA/CA with binary exponential back-off window to avoid collisions.
Data Rate Maximization in multiuser OFDM channel in MATLAB November 2013
Simulated an optimal power allocation scheme across parallel wireless channels to achieve maximum possible sum data rate
at the transmitter. Combined as well as the individual data rate across each sub-channel was analyzed.
Performance Analysis of an Arithmetic Encoder in MATLAB October 2013
Implemented a simulation program to read an information binary sequence and produce the encoded sequence at the output.
Algorithm for a random independent sequence was also implemented to compare the length of the encoded output bits.
Rate Selection Micro game in MATLAB August 2013
Simulated an intelligent data transfer strategy through a wireless channel to maximize the average rate throughput across a
wireless channel. Modelled the channel as a Finite State Markov Chain to study the effects of channel fading.
UNIX TCP and UDP Socket programming using C May 2013
Implemented an intelligent co-ordination system to communicate over UDP and TCP/IP protocols in a network with client-
server architecture using C programming in UNIX environment.
Simulation project of M/M/K Queuing System using C, C++ May 2013
Simulated an M/M/1 and M/M/K queuing system. The program calculated and displayed the mean number of packets, average
delay per customer, average service time, waiting time and idle period.
Simulation and Troubleshooting of electronic trip units of circuit breaker June 2010 - Dec 2012
Designed a patented hardware test circuit to simulate the actual field tripping in a circuit breaker electronic trip unit. Performed
Final Certification Testing(as per IEC 60947-2 standards) for EMI & EMC(Electromagnetic Interference/ Compatibility)
Travel Smart- Real Time Bus tracking system January 2010
Designed a system whereby a GPS enabled cellphone could be used to obtain the position of the bus from a central server
database. Formulated an algorithm to determine the estimated time for the bus to reach the stop.
