SEMINAR : MICRO AERIAL VEHICLES WITH FLAPPING WINGS
MECHANISM
My seminar aims to explain the concept of new modern technique as
flapping mechanism used in micro aerial vehicles.
Non-traditional MAV designs based on birds or insects are less
common and without well-established conceptual design methods. Results
include simple analytical expressions for flight endurance and range,
predictions for maximum feasible wing size and body mass and critical design
space restrictions resulting from finite wing inertia. A new figure-of-merit for
wing structural-inertial efficiency is proposed and used to quantify the
performance of real and artificial insect wings.
PROJECT : UNMANNED AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY USING REMOTE
CONTROLLED DRONE FOR DEFENCE
The aim of the project is to design and construct a Spy Copter, Drone capable
of Indoor- Outdoor flight and hover with an onboard wireless camera used for
remote surveillance and control. Through the use of an integrated control
system, this vehicle would be capable of autonomous operation including
take-off, hover and landing capabilities controlled remotely by an operator and
let the view the real-time footage capture by the camera.
A quad-rotor (DRONE) is an aircraft whose lift is generated by four rotors.
Control of such a craft is accomplished by varying the speeds of the four
motors relative to each other.
