. Joined as Head of Marketing in Fives Stein India
Projects Pvt Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of the Fives
group, based in France, which is a 200 year old
conglomerate having business interests in a
diverse range of industries.
. Responsible for the sales of the world renowned
"Stein-Heurtey" Furnaces of Fives Stein, Cold
Rolling Mills, Sendzimir Mills & related
Processing Lines (i.e. CAL, CGL, etc) of Fives
DMS, Pipe & Tube Mills and Finishing Line
equipment of Fives Bronx.
. Organize roadshows for customer awareness and
give technical presentations to prospective
customers along with representatives from the
parent company to make an entry into the
processing lines businesses (CAL, CGL etc) in
India.
. Technical interactions with the foreign
principals (Fives Stein - Paris & Bilbao
(Spain), Fives DMS - Paris, and Fives Bronx -
Ohio, USA) in order to respond to the
customer/consultant queries, discuss marketing
strategies and decide upon targeted projects

Significant Achievements :
(1) Revival of old customers - Accomplished
complete turnaround of customers who had
blacklisted GPI on quality grounds like Bhushan
Steel, Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd, Tinplate,
Jindal India, Usha Martin etc but later came
back to GPI's fold, with assured order qty of
50% of their annual roll requirements.

(2) Bulk order from Project Sales - Credited
with almost 100% order booking for roll
requirements of majority of the upcoming Steel
Plant projects, orders for which were finalized
during peak of the recessionary period (08-09).
(3) Procurement of orders from govt. run SAIL
plants twice on a single tender basis.
Resposibilities :
. Responsible for the sales of Cast & Forged Rolls
used for rolling operations in the Hot and Cold
Rolling Mills, catering to all the major steel
plants in India as well as abroad.
. Key Account Manager for some of the major
customers of GPI like JSPL(both Raigarh &
Patratu plants), RSP, IISCO, Salem Steel Plant,
VSP, Bhushan Steel, Tinplate, etc along with
customers in Ukraine, Thailand and Indonesia,
contributing substantial part of the plant load
every month & procuring bulk order from various
upcoming steel plant projects through close
interactions with Customers and their
Consultants.
. Overall supervision of the other customers which
are directly handled by departmental colleagues,
providing them necessary support in critical
areas for meeting the monthly targets of order
bookings and collections.
. Analyzing customer complaints, ensuring fast
redressal and controlling the capital exposure
of the company.
. Preparing annual targets in line with the
business plans of the company, periodic reviews
and gap analysis with respect to the actual
plant capacities and devise strategies to make
up for the shortfall.
. Emphasis laid on procurement of orders for
bigger size rolls, back up rolls and high value
products in order to meet the targeted NSR of
the company.
. Attending cross functional committee meetings
and review meetings on behalf of Marketing,
conducted by the top management.
. Emphasis in practicing new initiatives like TPM,
PMS, Six Sigma etc.
