Administration of all aspects of achieving quality, on-time, seating and restraint module builds, at outside supply source.
Interfaced with all levels inter-departmentally, vendors, and internal Ford customers on all aspects of planning, scheduling,
purchasing, organizing, directing and controlling the procurement needed components, to achieve delivery of pre-production
seating and restraint modules. Responsibilities included development of build schedules and budgets, as well as sourcing
prototype tooling vendors and prototype build sources. Tasks included identifying individual build requirements, timing plans
for builds, needed staffing and parts, resultant budget, forecasting personnel requirements, as well as managing and resolving
all issues that developed that may threaten delivery of on-time modules for use in engineering or system testing requirements,
or program build deliverables.
• Developed prototype component shipping policies for all Seating/Restraint suppliers, to enable more efficient
receiving/warehousing of parts, as well as ensure supplier payment for delivery of prototype purchase orders. Subsequently
documented and led training of entire supply base, of 300+, as to usage of policies and procedures.
• Created, authored, and supervised processes to ensure external warehouse supplier was in compliance with all Federal SoX
and FMCo Prototype Material policies. Implemented and trained warehouse staff as to processes, resulting in 71%
improvement in material turn-around and 63% cycle loss improvement.
• Led seating and restraints departments in conception and execution of methodology to identify, order, track on time delivery
of all prototype components needed to support seating and restraint module builds in support of program specific and
engineering testing requirements. Ultimately, documented and instituted same policies across Ford Motor Company with
program, purchasing, and plant buy-in.
