This application is one of the core systems within the bank, serving as Forex & Money market
trades processing, settlement and confirmation matching functionality for its Investment
Banking & Wealth management clients for America’s, EMEA and APAC regions.
Trade Information Control System
This application is a Settlement engine that exists in leading Investment Bank. This application
handles Forex, Options and Money Market Trades. It receives trades from the Front Office and
processes the trades and generates the corresponding electronic messages such as SWIFT, fax,
mail confirmations and payment messages based on the customer setup. This application works
on the Legacy mainframes as a backend and which is connected to the JAVA frontend screens
thru WEBSHPERE.

This application receives feeds of host confirmations, primarily in trade Event format
from settlement systems.
This application also receives feeds of client (counterparty) confirmations from other
sending systems originating from the SWIFT network, as well as through direct feeds
from other utilities, such as Misys & Keylink.
This application attempts to match the host and counterparty confirmations as they
arrive, and status updates are sent downstream if a match is achieved.
