Practice manager for one of the busiest gastroenterology practices
west of the Mississippi River. Oversee patient management, marketing,
personnel, financial, negotiate with insurance carriers to maximize fee
schedules as well as oversee overall practice issues. On-call 24/7 for
the physicians.
Other duties for the practice include:
Oversee development of a proprietary EHR system being created by the
practice physicians. Work with software engineers for development of
voice driven EHR including patient portal, scheduling module,
practice elements, coding, billing, accounting and AR. Program/software
teams are located throughout t he world. Working with design team on the
re-design of the practice website to interact with the EHR system.
Vice President Marketing/editorial manager for What Doctors Know
Magazine. Responsible for development/conceptualizing a
consumer driven digital magazine. Work with editorial staff for content
and contributors. Developed the relationship with syndication companies,
including Tribune Media Services. To date, the magazine reaches more
than 100 million readers across the globe. In addition, the magazine
is distributed through Barnes and Noble, Press Reader and Newspaper direct
(magazine is owned by the practice). Working with design team to re-design
the magazine website to increase the content.
Developed a weekly column called "Examining Health" for the local
newspaper, which reaches 1/3 of the state. Responsible for content for
this column and therefore, ghost write periodic columns for the
practice physicians as well as work with hundreds of state physicians to
share space in the newspaper.

boutique. Responsible for store sales goals, sales training customer
service, inventories, etc.

Energy company focusing on water, gas and electric metering systems
for REIT's, apartment builders and other residential clients.
Responsible for total marketing program. Developed advertising plans,
worked with creative team, set budgets, marketing goals, trade show
plans and more.

1978 - July 1998 Executive Vice president for one of the
largest Marketing/Public Relations/Communications agencies in the
Southeast. Full service agency with clients that included national and
local Commercial and residential real estate developers, banks, hospitals
and more. Efforts included collateral materials, press relations, trade
shows, events, and more. Clients included Polo Club Boca Raton,
Stonebridge, Arvida Properties, the Miami Dolphins, Wycliffe Country
Club, Governor Bob Graham, Hugo Black III, among others.
