PROJECT:-

The primary intend of my project was to design and fabricate a BIOMASS

GASIFIER STOVE (DOWNDRAFT TYPE) which can be efficiently used by rural

people. In this project, I have worked with the prototype of biomass

gasifier stove, and the results were better than I expected. In the

experimental stage, there was no black smoke evident, and the flame height

did change with the speed of the fan. The amount of fuel required was quite

less. In the model of the stove I will just change the stove material into

stainless steel, which is tougher than mild steel and can withstand high

temperature without getting distorted. The price of this stove will go down

as we will experiment more the cheaper alternatives of its part. This stove

has the capability to revolutionize the way we cook food. It cooks food

with waste materials and the funny thing is while gasification occurs, the

waste material gives us the fuel and it turns into ash. The ash can be used

as a fertilizer. Hence we are converting a useless product into a useful

one, in a clean way, and we can use the gas, it will generate while it

undergoes gasification, for our daily cooking purpose. People living in the

rural areas or people under BPL, often complain about the price rise of the

cooking gas or the harmful gases a coal stove dissipates while burning.

This stove will not only save our wealth but our health too.
