Location: Irrigation and CAD Department, Hyderabad

Duration:16th April to 16th June 2013 (2 Months)

Synopsis:

• The cutthroat flume is a class of flow measurement flow

• That is used to measure the flow of surface waters,sewageflows, and industrial discharges.

• Using vertical sidewalls throughout, the flume accelerates flow though a contraction of

sidewalls until the flow reaches the “throat” of the flume, where the flow is then expanded.
