Logistics Engineer
Enlisted following transfer of NASA support contract from Rockwell
International to USA. Served as department lead responsible for mechanical,
electronics, and manufacturing repair shop supplying tools, parts, basic
consumables, chemicals, and other materials. Guided 6 employees, updated
all NASA required data, and performed calibration of government- and
company-owned tooling. Created, received, and tracked specialty items to
aid in maintenance of shop equipment and meet scheduled manifest delivery
dates for flight/non-flight hardware. Managed shuttle hardware consisting
of S-band and Ku-band antenna, navigation, crew communication, and orbital
maneuvering equipment, pilot and crew maneuverability controls, and
Tactical Air Control and Navigation (TACAN) system. Functioned as OEM point
of contact and designated hazmat first responder. Ensured full compliance
with FAR requirements for procurement and IATA guidelines for shipping and
