Professional Experience
Banner Pharmacaps Inc. (division of Vion a privately held Dutch company) 1996 to March 2013
Banner encapsulated nutritional and pharmaceutical (RX and OTC) products with 1,200 employees in
Canada, Mexico, Netherlands, US, and for several years a joint venture with a company in India.
Customers include major pharmaceutical companies and retailers primarily in Europe and North and
South America. Annual sales were approximately $250 million. In 2012 Banner was sold, most
executive positions were eliminated including mine in March 2013.
2004 to March 2013
Title: Executive Director Finance Global
Reported to: Chief Financial Officer
Primary responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely historical and projected financial
information, clear and concise guidance to Banners regional accounting groups, serve as analytical
resource to Banner senior management and parent company finance group, and support of multiple
due diligence processes.
Accomplishments:
• Completed all month, quarter and annual historical financial reports, primarily utilizing Hyperion
Financial Management.
• Completed all future estimates including strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarter forecasts.
• Prepared annual audited US GAAP financial reports 2006 – 2011, all received unqualified
opinions and were critical to the 2012 sale of the company.
• Business Process Owner: Budget to Cash module, SAP implementation in Banner US.
• Presented monthly operating and financial results to Global Operations group.
• Implemented parent company required cash forecasting.
2000 – 2003
Title: Executive Director Finance United States
Reported to: US President, dotted line to CFO. US operations included manufacturing sites in NC
and California and the company’s primary R/D facility. Annual sales were $120 million.
Primary responsibility: all accounting and finance related functions including financial and
management accounting and reporting, preparation of forecasts, budgets, strategic plans, financial
analysis, commercial support, management of credit and collections.
Accomplishments:
• Finance leader for operating company, achieved budget financial targets 3 of 4 years. Staff of 13.
• Worked closely with commercial group to analyze customer bids and customer profitability.
• Developed AS400 based sales forecasting system which was used to meet financial and operating
requirements.
• Analyzed and presented manufacturing facility closure plan to Board of Directors, approved
project generated $6 million in annual savings.

Primary responsibility: financial and management accounting for US operations, included a year as
Plant Controller.
Softsoap Enterprises Inc. (division of Colgate Palmolive) 1988 – 1993
Softsoap was a stand-alone subsidiary of Colgate Palmolive from acquisition in late 1987 until
consolidation with other US operations in 1993. Softsoap manufactured and marketed personal and
household care products to mass, drug and grocery classes of trade. A single manufacturing site
supported annual sales of approximately $120 million in 1992.

Primary responsibilities: all aspects of Cost and General Accounting, Credit, Customer Service, and
IT.
Accomplishments:
• Finance leader for the company, supported sales growth from
$60m in 1988 to $120 million in 1992.
• Completed strategic plans, budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting,
year-end audits (internal and external), and financial analysis of segment, customer, and product
profitability.
• Developed internal controls and accounting procedures.
• IT: implemented Colgate specified system, directed in house
development of software.
• Credit/customer service – Supported direct sales force and broker
network, accounted for trade promotion budget of over $20 million.
• Managed a staff of 30.
McGaw (division of American Hospital Supply Corporation) 1982 - 1987
McGaw manufactured and sold intravenous solutions, primarily to US hospitals. Three manufacturing
sites supported annual sales of $200 million. Positions included Plant Controller, Manager Financial
Planning, General Accounting Supervisor, Cost Accounting Supervisor, Cost Accountant.
