Title: Customer Service Agent
Duties: Answering incoming calls from customers requesting reservations at
various Harrah's properties across the country. Often callers required
solutions to complex problems regarding their travel requirements. This
often required dealing with customers who were angry or disgruntled and
required special handling while, in most cases, resolving the issues
involved to everyone's satisfaction. We, as customer service agents, were
required to handle calls within a specific amount of time in order to meet
the company's goals. Excellent communication skills were required in all
aspects of the job. While in this position, I received monthly bonuses
based on production and customer surveys.
Answering calls from customers to serve their mail order prescription needs
for Medicare Part D. As with my duties as an agent for Harrah's, this
often required delicate handling of callers. This also required
familiarity with different medication names and the many rules regarding
Medicare. Both positions required careful data entry. Of course, as with
all healthcare jobs, this required strict adherence to Hipaa laws.
Redcats
Answering calls from customers who wanted to make catalog purchases. This
position required up selling products to our customers. It required
knowledge of the products that were listed in the catalog and what was
being offered at any given time.
HEALTHCARE
Unit clerk at a major hospital where I worked in the Nursery and Neonatal
Intensive Care. This job entailed received doctors' orders and ensured
that they were correct in the patients' charts. I was required to
communicate effectively with patients and doctors. I ordered supplies and
performed other duties as required.
I have also provided elder care in their homes. This required medication
dosing as well as preparing meals and assisting with personal care such as
bathing and dressing. I also transported the patient to doctors'
appointments and shopping as needed.
The Med Team
2004-2006
While I worked for this company I provided healthcare to the elderly and
disabled patients including tube feeding and personal care.
