Managed and directed day to day operations of NDT employees.
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining training programs,
manuals, techniques, policies, practices, processes and procedures for etch
passivation, magnetic particle (MT) and liquid penetrant (PT) inspection
systems for three divisions each with a different type of complex finished
machined parts. Designed and fabricated custom tooling and fixtures for a
state of art automated pre-penetrant etch system with vapor rinse cycles which
reduced hazardous waste by 60%. Combined systems were approved by the
FAA,NASA,DCMAS and all major prime aerospace, commercial aircraft
and helicopter industries. Launched and directed ISO, SPC and TQM audit
procedures.
