Preparation of biodiesel and evaluation of performance characteristics of ci engine
operating on blend of biodiesel (cotton seed oil) and standard diesel in different
proportions.
The objectives of this work are to:
Preparation of biodiesel from cotton seed.
To identify suitable non-edible oils and obtain their respective biodiesels.
To characterize the biodiesels and to check their feasibility as alternative fuels.
To determine performance characteristics of a single cylinder four stroke diesel engine
fuelled with selected biodiesels for both conventional and unit injection fuel injection
systems.
To compare performance characteristics of a single cylinder four stroke diesel engine
fuelled with selected biodiesels for both conventional and unit injection fuel injection
systems.
