I was awarded an Entrance Scholarship and a Teaching Assistantship upon admission. I chose to
work as a Writing Tutor with the Writing Tutorial Service at Carleton. This involved
tutoring one-on-one, group tutoring, and presenting workshops on all aspects of the research
and writing/editing process in classrooms all over campus (from the undergraduate level to
the doctoral level).
2001 Bachelor of Arts Degree (Double Major in French and Canadian Studies). I was the winner
of the University Medal for Academic Excellence in Canadian Studies.
1997 French Language Immersion Summer Program. Université Laval, Québec, Québec. Credits
were transferred to Memorial University of Newfoundland.

2008-Present: French Instructor (Comprehensive Arts and Science Transfer Program), College of
the North Atlantic, Carbonear Campus, Carbonear, Newfoundland. Along with the three first-year

College of the North Atlantic at Carbonear Campus. This nine-week program ended on May 27, 2013.
2010: Coordinating Insructor. Retrofit Program: College of the North Atlantic at Carbonear
Campus. This program ran for twenty-one weeks from May to September. I was required to teach a
number of subjects, including Reading, Writing, and Numeracy.
2009: Coordinating Instructor. Youth Exploring Trades (YET) Program: College of the North

2006-2007: Junior and Senior High English and French Teacher with Other Duties . Nova Central
School District. I was responsible for all grades from Kindergartern to Level IV at St. Peter's Academy
in Westport, Newfoundland. In addition to English and French, I taught History, Religion, Health, and
Physical Education! YES!

(Vista Region). I was responsible for all grades from Four to Level IV at Bishop White School in Port
