site. Responsibilities include general management of all plant-level financial functions for two separate legal

entities. Duties include payroll administration, sales tax reporting, monthly closing, cash control and

forecasting, operating budget preparation, assisting outside auditors, and extensive cost analysis. This

includes development of standard costs, labor and overhead rates, and absorption variance analysis.

Provided oversight to a cycle count program which reduced the need for an annual physical inventory.

Implementation of SOX internal controls and self-audit compliance. Extensive support for the implementation

of lean manufacturing techniques which doubled plant productivity.

Banner Health Systems -North Colorado Medical Center

Budget Analyst / Lead Cost Accountant – Apr. 2010 to Feb. 2011

NCMC is a licensed 400 hospital and is the largest hospital in northeastern Colorado.

Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Senior Manager with dotted line responsibilities to the facility CFO,

duties include managing a team of 4 accountants and analysts in the preparation of a $1.2B operating budget.

Other duties include monitoring cost standards and compliance reporting to state and federal regulators.

Speedline Technologies – a division of Cookson, PLC.

Sr. Financial Analyst – Jul. 1999 to Sep. 2001

Speedline Technologies comprises the assembly equipment sector of Cookson Electronics. Report directly to

the Division Controller. As Sr. Financial Analyst responsibilities encompass the preparation of a $100M

operating budget, forecasting, monthly closings, extensive cost analysis, and foreign subsidiary consolidations.

ConAgra Beef Company, Portion Foods Plant

Assistant Controller - Nov. 1997 to Apr. 1999

ConAgra Beef Company provided quality beef products to grocery store chains, independent grocery stores,

foodservice operators and restaurant owners to both domestic and international markets. Reported to the

Plant Controller. As Assistant Controller with a staff of 6 employees, responsibilities included the day-to-day

management of all accounting and MIS functions, monthly closings, capital expenditures, product costing, and

budgeting. Assisted in the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System to track material and labor

costs.

ConAgra Beef Company

Systems Trainer/Implementation Specialist – Nov. 1995 to Nov. 1997

Provided OJT and formal classroom training in the use of an integrated purchasing, inventory, and accounts

payable system. Assisted in the development of master files and tables. Maintained the master project plan.

Generated and reviewed training materials and developed a reference manual for use by facility controllers.
