OBJECTIVE: To help students master the objectives and current methods of English grammar
and develop the ability to apply these concepts to a real world setting. With a Master’s degree in Anthropology/Sociology, I graduated with ability to skillfully write for both the academic and business world audiences. I taught English as a second language for many years and independently ran a language lab while completing my graduate degree. As a professional, I spent several years successfully providing technical writing and marketing communications to a variety of North American and Canadian businesses. It is my objective to motivate students to discover a passion for effective communication and attention to grammatical detail, which will continue to serve them throughout their personal and professional lives. As students either progress on within the university or into the business world, strong written and verbal communication skills will continue to be the doorway to opportunity. Along with the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing, I am enthusiastic and self-directed, yet extremely coach-able. I enjoy working with diverse and highly motivated individuals to achieve shared objectives. By constantly seeking new opportunities to be challenged and exceed expectations, I am continuously evolving professionally as well as personally. I have a valid work permit, a
Canadian Social Security number, and strong working knowledge of the French language.
