. Serves as the Deputy Commander for the Navy Command to collaborate with
headquarters office and identify business and organizational
improvements for the Navy's Shore Installation Management (SIM) System
. Providing management and oversight operational-wide on shore
installation programs, strategic business planning and Foreign
Government protocol
. Reporting directly to the Regional Commander; ensuring direction and
execution on command administration, manpower & civilian personnel,
environmental studies and compliance, resource management, budget
management and forecasting, security, IT and Navy housing as well as
several Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR) and fleet and family services
quality of life programs

Major Accomplishments:
. Successfully led the stand-up of Navy Region Singapore following the
departure of the US Air Force (USAF). The USAF 497th Combat Training
Squadron in Singapore downsized as part of the overseas base reduction
efforts leaving major security, family programs and infrastructure to be
assumed and maintained by the US. Navy.
. Expertly led the USS FREEDOM, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Transition Team.
Through proactive early engagement with all stakeholders, I effectively
verified that all footprint, housing, and office requirements were met
six months in advance of USS Freedom's arrival to Singapore. Provided
superb coordination of the historical home-basing of the DESRON 7 command
to Singapore which facilitated USS Freedom's smooth crew-rotation.
. Winner of the 2012 Chief of Naval Operations Environmental Awards
competition in the Environmental Quality Overseas Installation category
as well as the 2012 Chief of Naval Operations Environmental Award
Sustainability (individual or team) category. Supported and initiated
several green initiatives such as energy efficient appliances, incentive
based energy reduction programs in family housing and numerous energy
reduction programs resulted in a base wide energy reduction of over 30%.
. Initiated and oversaw completion of $15 million renovation and upgrade of
all Navy housing units, including full interior renovation, power washing
of roofs, void deck painting and fan installation, and more.
. Successfully secured support and funding from multiple sources for long-
term installation upgrades, including Terror Club (Navy food & beverage
club) renovation ($900K), athletic field complex ($2.78M), fitness center
($350K), and swimming pool upgrades ($550K).
. Provided expert technical advice and oversight for the transition and
relocation of the Navy Medical Research Center from Hawaii to Singapore.

. Successfully lead to realign all supply and logistic functions,

. Led as a first US military first-responder in the Asia Pacific
immediately after the Southeast Asian Tsunami in December 2004. Under
my leadership I executed timely relief supplies to the victims hardest
hit by the devastation. We locally purchased over $1M of food, water,
medical and health and comfort supplies and these supplies were the
first supplies available for distribution.
. Led to achieve the first Environmental Management System conformity with
zero deficiencies (major or minor) in the Navy. Resulted in winning
fiscal year Chief of Navy Pollution Prevention Award.
. Succeeded in effective implementation of environmental compliance
programs which received no notice of violations from local regulators
which achieved, Environmental Management System self-certification,
recycled and reused materials at every opportunity.
