SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
. I have served as part of the recruitment team for chaplain residents and
interns at Vidant Medical Center. I have helped familiarize candidates
and new employees with the culture of the hospital and the Pastoral Care
Department. I have regularly conducted hospital tours for recruits and
new employees, and participated in the hospital's new employee
orientation program.
. Currently serving as a member of the Greenville, NC Human Relations
Council, a multi-cultural, multi-faith civic organization. I was the
driving force in bringing the Winston Salem based Institute for
Dismantling Racism to Greenville to begin conversations about addressing
systemic racism. Helped plan and execute the two major events for this
past year and served as emcee for the community awards banquet.
. As student co-facilitator of the Wake Forest University School of
Divinity LGBT group, Kaleidoscope, was involved in bringing the first
transgender speakers to the Divinity School as part of our diversity

Chaplain Resident
Full-time CPE resident in a 900+ bed Level I trauma, tertiary care regional
hospital that services a 29 county area east of I-95 in eastern North
Carolina. Responsible for daily spiritual care for 80-100 patients, their
visitors, and staff, and helped connect patients with resources for their
ongoing care. Frequently provide support for families experiencing critical
stress. Weekly on-call shifts included experience in the Trauma Center. I
am a certified Advanced Directives Facilitator and have extensive
experience in multi-cultural, multi-faith care and ministry. I assisted in
planning and executing three major annual events and designed, executed,
and manned an information booth at the event attended by 300 clergy and
hospital staff. I facilitated orientation of local area clergy and chaplain
interns, and was part of the interview team for several of the interns.
