background checks, safety, FMLA, Workers Compensation, Affirmative Action,
grievances, training, annual evaluations, budgeting, union activity and
disciplinary process for a staff that includes nurses, teachers, trainers,
security officers, office employees, religious affiliates, food service and
maintenance workers. Responsible for audit performance from internal and
corporate audits, OFCCP and ACA audits. Maintaining a 100% for OFCCP and
ACA audit scores.

Was in charge of the Human Resources Department at Tucson, AZ location.
Administered all aspects of the Human Resources function with a staff of 5.
Responsible for compliance with State/Federal laws. Received Federal
Clearance for working with Federal Contracts. Managed all aspects of the
employment process, including recruiting, screening, interviewing and
hiring of employees. Administered compensation, performance review and
merit increase program to ensure effectiveness, safety department,
compliance and equity within organization. Developed training programs to
ensure the successful accomplishment of workshops and orientations for
employees regarding human resources and job training. Created and updated
local policies, handbooks, and standard operating procedures as needed.
Provided coaching, training and guidance to managers regarding employee
performance, discipline and policy interpretation.
Position ended May 2009 when company downsized nationwide.

Was in charge of Human Resources policies, programs, practices and
procedures. In charge of benefits, payroll, Worker's Compensation, FMLA,
safety, training, staffing and hiring, safety programs and implementation
of company and federal policies. Support Employee Relations, Safety,
Payroll, Training and Compensation in implementing special projects and
programs as needed. Provide monthly employee statistical reports to
Divisional Offices. Set up contracts with temp agencies when applicable.
Coordinate employee activities, programs and events, including chairing of
committees.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER

November 1990 - April 1999 In charge of Human Resources
policies, programs, practices and procedures with emphasis on union
avoidance efforts. Worked closely with VP of Human Resources and Regional
HR Manager to provided counsel to managers and employees for sensitive,
union and non-routine employee relations issues and concerns. Handled all
disciplinary action and grievances, trained all employees on compliance
issues and supervisory skills. Responsible for FMLA, safety, Worker's
Compensation, payroll, benefits and hiring process. Payroll coordinator for
2 years and HR Generalist for 5 years before becoming the Employee
Relations Manager. Comcast bought Jones Intercable in 1999 when I
transitioned to Human Resources Manager for the company.

Lead disc jockey, coordinated special events, responsible for advertising,
equipment maintenance and staffing needs of the Black Angus lounge. Acting
