Project 03:- Air Independent Propulsion Trolley System (AIP)

Sep'13 to Till date

Description: - AIP trolley is air independent propulsion trolley or it was

also called as track mounted trolley. This trolley is used for shifting

submarine to water and shifting other heavy machinery from one place to

another. This project is totally depends on fabrication and hydraulic

jacks.

Responsibilities:-

. Responsible of making casting and forging components.

. 3D modelling and handling the assembly of trolley.

. SPT and NSPT structure design modelling with fabrication drawings of

trolley frame are released as per client requirement.

. Done saddle 3D design in software and make fabrication drawing.

. Trolley cover done in sheet metal and released drawing to manufacturer.

. Modifications are done as per client requirements.

. Assembly arrangement is done for hydraulic jack to its max stroke.

. Making of DCR and doing changes as per DCR.

. Done mechanical routing for AIP trolley jack, manifolds, pump and oil

tank.

. Proof and final machining drawings of casting and forging components are

done by using GD&T and Machining symbols.

. Done testing machine model for leakage testing of hydraulic jack and

strength of trolley frame.

. Given static and dynamic load on the trolley for testing purpose.

. All project work is done in UG-NX 7.5.

Project 02:- Autonomous Under Water Vehicle Trolley (AUV)

Jul'13 to Sep'13

Description: - AUV is autonomous under water vehicle. It is used for

scanning/ giving information about obstacles, mineral or soil under the

water, taking pictures of obstacles and sending this information to ship.

In this project we have made trolley to transport the AUV to water and for

alignment of sections of AUV. This project work is totally done in

fabrication. Alignment of sections is done with help hydraulic jacks.

Responsibilities:-

. Responsible of making concept modeling.

. Gone with client to workshop to understand the concept of trolley.

. Creating feasible model and drawings for supplier.

. Done structure design modeling with fabrication drawing of trolley.

. Modifications are done as per client requirement.

. Included casting & sheet metal component design with 3D solid models.

. Making of DCR and doing changes as per DCR.

. Efficiently drafting, detailing, section with BOM, GD & T, Machining

Symbols, etc.

. AUV all work design, detailing and GD&T on UGNX 6.

Project 01:- Steering Gear Mechanism

Apr'13 to Jul'13

Description: - This project is used to turn the ship at a required angle

with the help of steering gear mechanism. In this project, power is

developed by ram cylinder, and this power is delivered to tiller, which

helps to move the rudder stock. The maximum rudder angle is maintained at

30 from each side. It can be moved within 45 seconds.

Responsibilities:-

. Responsible for complete mechanical design of steering gear mechanism.

. Assigned with the responsibilities of creating the main assembly and

done drawings of main assembly, part modeling and the complete bill of

material.

. Handled the job of checking and correcting the complete bill of material

of an assembly before it is released for manufacturing.

. Interact directly with the clients for better understanding of their

requirements.

. Responsible for making assembly sequencing for better understanding to

customer.

. Assembly arrangement is done for steering gear mechanism.

. Making of DCR and doing changes as per DCR.

. Proof and final machining drawings of casting and forging components are

done by using GD&T and Machining symbols.

. Designed graphical and 3D illustrations for new products and enhancement

of existing products.

. All project work is done in UG-NX 7.5.
