Dear Sir or Ma'am:
Please accept the attached resume as application for any Human Resources
Management positions that may be available now or in the near future, as I
have recently relocated to the Philadelphia area.
I have over 25 years of HR Management experience in manufacturing,
education and healthcare (including both acute and long term care) and
manufacturing and am an extremely strong HR generalist with strengths in
the Labor Relations, HR Compliance, Compensation/Benefits Administration
and Organizational Development.
One of my areas of strength is in the compensation/benefits area and most
recently led our HR team into a comprehensive analysis into detailed claims
data in order to restructure benefits design to save costs. This team
saved a total of over $2 million dollars in HR process improvements and
benefits cost reductions over the most recent 1 year period and over $6
million dollars in the 3 year period prior to last year. I have also
implemented detailed compensation policies and programs at my last 3
employers including market analysis, job pointing, management and sales
bonus/comp programs and also a pay for performance program at my most
recent hospital that is tied to HCAPPS scores in order improve customer
service scores in order to maximize insurance reimbursements for meeting
improved service goals. I also have experience in various types of pension
and retirement plans and most recently did a major audit on 2 frozen DB
plans and successfully passed a related IRS audit.
Most of my experience has been in unionized facilities, with multiple
unions at the same work site. I am well versed in grievance, arbitration,
mediation, negotiation (15+ contracts - four of which I was chief
negotiator without labor counsel at the table). I handle all complaints,
PHRC, NLRB and internal investigations as well as assuring compliance with
the ever increasing complex employment and benefits laws. I also have
experience in de-certification petitions as well as leading management
teams to successfully quash union organizing campaigns in non-union
facilities.
Additionally, I have extensive experience in implementing employee
involvement teams in order to improve morale and thereby improve quality,
service and productivity in addition to lowering costs. My experience in
this arena has been in both non-union as well as unionized environments,
and this process has led to more productive relationships with the union in
organized facilities. One area of particular strength is in turnaround
situations - which the most recent 3 healthcare employers have been in such
a situation.
I also have experience in Mergers and Acquisitions having been involved and
led the M&A project teams at 3 prior employers and am used to traveling
extensively for work. Additionally, I have a Masters Degree in Human
Resources/Organizational Training and also taught as adjunct faculty at
Penn State University (Hazleton Campus).
I am hopeful that I may have the opportunity to speak with someone from
your organization personally to determine how my skills and experience may
be a match for your needs.
I can be reached at any time at 570/205-0011. Thank you very much for
taking time to review my credentials.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth A. Perrong, SPHR
