1. Three years experience in Rohit Pulp & Paper Mills Ltd Khadki
Dist-Val sad (Gujarat State) as a Paper Machine Supervisor Since
Jan.1984-Feb1987
Rohit Pulp and Paper Mills consist of Four Paper machines, Batch
Process Pulp mill for Raw material Rice Straw, Chlorination, Caustics
Extraction, Hypochlorite as a Bleaching Process with Double Disk
Refiners of Spout and Waldren Austria.
PM-1 and PM-2 machines (MF) producing writing and printing papers,
ledger paper,coating base paper, bond paper, inland letter paper and
post cards paper,etc.
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 47-65gm/sq.m.
Capacity of the PM-1 - 50ton/day
PM-2 - 25ton/day
PM-3 machine (MG) producing Tissues of different grades,MG posters,
MG krafts,Ribbed Kraft base paper for carbonizing Tissues, etc.
Capacity of the PM-3 - 30ton/day
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 22-40gm/sq.m.
PM-4 machine cylinder mould machine producing white Duplex board from
recycled waste paper
Capacity of the PM - 4 - 60ton/day
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 185-500gm/sq.m.
Total capacity of the Rohit Pulp and Paper Mills is 165ton/day.
I was working as a Paper Machine Supervisor, responsible for
production, quality of the Paper produced, cost of the paper
production per ton, material and energy balance, optimisation of
Chemicals and utilities as well as fiber loses, finishing loses.
2. Four year experience in Kopergaon S.S. Karkhana Paper Mill Division
Kopergaon, Dist- Ahmednagar, as a Paper Machine Shift In charge
during
commissioning of new paper machine Since Feb1987- June 1990
Basic Raw material for this mill was Bagasse- byproduct of sugar
factories.The capacity of the mill was 50ton/day MG Kraft (Combined
Machine i.e Pre-Dryers, MG Cylinder and Post Dryers, Stacked
Calender).
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 80-220gm/sq.m
I was their during Erection, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and
final setting of the Paper mill.
I was responsible for Production of the shift along with material and
energy balance Optimization of utilities and chemicals as per the
qualities of the paper.
3. Four year experience in Nath Pulp & Paper Mills Ltd, Pimpalwadi,
Dist - Aurangabad, as a Assistant Superintendent (Process) Since June
1990-Oct 1994 .Producing
Writing and printing papers, coating papers, Test liners, Kraft
liners.
I was their for PM-2 erection, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and
Final setting of the PM-2.
Capacity of the PM-1(MF) - 40ton/day producing writing and printing
paper, coating base paper for there own coating plant, copier
paper,Maphlitho paper,etc
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 47-85gm/sq.m.
Capacity of the PM-2(MF) - 60ton/day with long nip press and top wire
system at wire part, producing Kraft liner, White liner, Abrasive
Kraft, High BF paper with 28 numbers of dryer cylinders and stacked
calender.
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 80-220gm/sq.m.
Basic Raw material for this mill is Bagasse from the sugar
factories.The mill is having Batch Process of Pulping with Soda
Cooking, CEH Bleaching process and refiners of L&T, Parasons, etc.
The mill is having Chemical recovery unit for recovery of caustic
soda along with steam turbine producing 4MW power generation for
there own use.
I was responsible for the Chemical Consumption Optimization with
qualities, Raw material consumption, material and energy balance,
Optimization of utilities, Fiber and finishing losses.
4. Ten years experiences in Pudumjee Pulp and Paper Mills Ltd,
Pune Maharashtra as a Executives In Production Since Oct.1994- July
2004.
Having production of glassine, grease proof, barrier grades, packing
tissues, writing and printing grades and other various grades of
Specialty papers.
Pudumjee Pulp and Paper Mills consists of four Paper Machines with
Batch Process Pulp mill, Basic Raw material is Bagasse from the by
products of sugar factory.
With Biogas unit from the Black liquor received after washing of
Bagasse Pulp.
Having there own power generation of 6MW.
Capacity of the PM-1(MF) - 50ton/day producing various grades of the
Specialty grades of paper like Tracing paper, Glassin paper,
Greaseproof paper, Opaque Laminating paper, insulating paper,etc .
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 25-150gm/sq.m.
Capacity of the PM-2(MF) - 90ton/day producing various grades of the
Specialty grades of paper like Packing tissues,Waxmatch
tissues,Barriers grades of paper,MICR cheque base papers,Chocolate
Wrapping paper,Impressed stampbase paper for Courts,Food and medicine
wrapping papers,electrical grade papers,etc
Basis weight of the paper produced was from 18-150gm/sq.m.
5. Two years experience at Obeikan Paper Industries, Riyad, Saudi Arabia
as a Paper Machine Process Engineer since. 22/07/2004-21/07/2006.

Capacity of the mill is 545 ton/day White Duplex Paper Board with
five different furnished layers (5wires).
Basic Raw material as layer wise as follow:
Top layer- Softwood and Hardwood (double disc refiners).
Under top layer - Sorted office paper with Deinking system of Andriz
Sweden and Cellwood Disperser unit and Hydrogen Peroxide Bleaching.
Filler layer and under filler layer - mixed waste and local waste OCC
processed with continuous Pulper with 3 staged screening and cleaning
and Andriz Sweden kneader unit.
Back layer - Old newspaper with Deinking system of Andriz Sweden and
Cellwood Disperser unit.
Paper machine consist of total 6 wires
1. Back wire- for Back layer of Duplex Board
2. Under filler wire- for under filler layer of Duplex Board
3. Filler wire - for Filler layer of Duplex board
4. Under top wire - for under top layer of Duplex board
5. Top layer wire - for Top layer of Duplex board
6. HTS wire - for improving drainage at filler wire.
At third press Shoe press of Metso Supplier Sweden.
Four coating stations - three for top layer and one for back layer
with IR drying system .Hardnip calender before coating and softnip
calender after coating.
I was responsible for checking the actual equipments and accessories
like pipelines, valves, flowmeters, etc as per P&IDS during
errection.
During-commissioning i was given responsibility of checking leakages
of pipelines, functioning of valves, flowmeters, with DCS operation.
During commissioning I was given responsibility of checking the
process parameters, and maintaining them as per the standards so as
to get the required quality of paper board.
Then I was looking for Chemical consumption and optimization as per
the properties of the paper, optimisation of utilities and safety of
the equipments.
