I currently work on the organization and operations development of a
production company in the DC area through membership with DCTV, the Public
Access Corporation of the District of Columbia. Since my organization of
this contracted, some what volunteer endeavor, I have currently have had
eight successful low budget productions and I have been nominated for three
Viewer's Choice Awards through DCTV. I won the DCTV 2007 Viewer's Choice
Award for Short Film, "An Empire Divided" and the DCTV 2008 VCA for
Community and Variety Programming, "Somebody's Shorts". The certificates
are available upon request. My current duties are, but not limited to:
Researching independent video production company functions, pinpointing key
practices that can be utilized in the company's target market area,
gathering data for business forecasting and compiling all information for
the structuring of the business plan needed to launch the company and
assist it financially. I also solicit for sponsors for events and showcases
and to date have successfully funded three projects through the sponsorship
of Magnificence Productions, LLC for an estimated $6,000.00 in revenue over
a two year period. I also produce, direct and edit all current video work
(Studio and Field) for Magnificence Productions to help generate interest
in the company's future endeavors. My current status with this company is
contractor for other productions and for my own, per diem, which means that
I work on the agreement that the value of my contribution will be
acknowledged upon funding for the company. I also monetarily assist with
current productions through various marketing strategies.
