Interactions Ltd is a research agency specializing in sustainable

development projects with clients in the transport and communications

industries. Interactions Ltd. acts specifically as the auditor general for

the National Roads Authority and National Transport Authority, the two

largest public transport entities in the Republic of Ireland.

My role within this company was Lead Transport Project Manager with

responsibility for said organizations and the respective construction

responsibilities concerned therein.

Responsibilities:

. Develop and refine written procedures for all construction matters.

. The negotiation and formation of contract specific commercial

agreements.

. Scheduling and managing all works carried out on a national level,

including individual site management.

. Advising upon the introduction of contractual requirements into

operational practise in as an efficient a manner as possible.

. Define a procedure for using the cost norms to establish the cost of

rehabilitation and maintaining the construction task.

. Assessing the short and long term business needs and solutions of the

parties concerned in specific projects.

. Produce forecasted and actual cost analysis for the Directors of the

company at monthly, quarterly and annual intervals.

. Implement operations and business procedures with a specific emphasis

on strategic planning.

. Perform needed quality tests on site to ensure conformity of material

-and works according to the contract specifications.

. Carry out feasibility reports for product, service improvement and

development.

. Ensure that contractors comply with works' specifications.

. Develop and conduct robust procedures for quality assurance.

Throughout my time Drumkay Developments Ltd. I was responsible for both

general management issues and the business development of the company.

Responsibilities:

. Ensuring all sites ran correctly, efficiently and within deadline

limitations.

. Identifying new business possibilities with new clientele and

nurturing the relationship throughout future projects.

. Negotiating and liaising with suppliers, sub-contractors,

manufacturers, local authorities and the various professions involved

on a daily basis.

. Keeping abreast of external market developments and identifying future

potential market niches which may be beneficial.

. Defining a procedure for using the cost norms to establish the cost of

rehabilitation and maintaining multi construction tasks.

. Supervising construction works contracts including quantity

measurement, quality, variation and payments.

. Constant reviewing of all relevant building regulation and standards

with specific regard to Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Property

Services regulation.

. Overseeing the general marketing strategy, both traditional and

digital, of the company with responsibility for the overall budget of

same.

. Supply chain management, ensuring the appropriate supply of materials

needed throughout both commercial and domestic aspects of the company

ran on a 'just in time' basis.

. Identifying new techniques and technologies with specific regard to

the construction industry - domestic, civil and commercial which would

increase operational competitiveness.

. I was directly responsible for the majority and co-ordination of all

administrative matters concerning Drumkay, inclusive of book keeping,

site administration, method statements, Health and Safety submissions,

and tender proposals.

My direct responsibility was to ensure the reputation for quality and

integrity already established by my predecessors was continued emphatically

whilst staying at the cutting edge of construction technologies.

2005 - 2006.

X-Base Backpackers, Wellington, New Zealand.

While travelling abroad, I was employed for nine months with X-Base group

in the role of Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

. Managing all employee matters i.e. salary, taxation, rosters, holidays

etc.

. Liaising with security firms and managing security teams within the

Wellington division of the X-Base group.

. Introducing and promoting new products and fulfilling the required

sales targets.

. Completing internal stock management and rectifying any deficiencies

found.

. Interacting with an exceptionally varied and wide array of clientele

on a daily basis.

During my time with the X-Base group, I successfully implemented several

managerial innovations which were ultimately adopted as general practise

within the company's other Australasian entities.

Examples include:

. The introduction of a 'thumb print clock-in' system, which gave

greater accuracy in regard to actual hours worked by staff.

. The creation of a flexible stock management system, inclusive of

spreadsheets (which are easily adjustable for the introduction of new

products etc.) and practical methodology which are easily applicable.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES:

I am a keen participator and spectator of various sports, these include

rugby, swimming and golf. I have a special interest in aviation and log

flying hours whenever possible.

I also have an interest in motor sports and have competed on many occasions

as both driver and navigator. Over the years I have taken on several

restoration projects of classic cars, with varying degrees of success.

My interest in Literature and History is also continual.
