QUALIFICATIONS
I have worked as an interpreter since 2002 as both an independent agent and
as a staff member at Seattle Children's Hospital. The primary challenges I
have faced have been more the ongoing processes of building and updating a
technical vocabulary, and sensitizing myself to the diversity of
personalities and backgrounds of those for whom I interpret and the
intensity of the circumstances surrounding their communication needs.

. 1999-2002 Program Director, Latona School Associates
Designed a theme-based curriculum with a team of teachers at an on-site
before and after school program; liaison to school faculty in order to
compliment academic curriculum; developed supplemental programming as a
resource for teachers; designed, planned, staffed, and solely directed the
summer program.

gained during and before college: independently contracting cooking classes
with park districts in Illinois, while continuing to cater for two Chicago
restaurants; directing a summer camp; leading canoe river adventures with
at-risk inner-city teenagers; working as a private investigator with
Hayward and Atkinson in Chicago; and a variety of volunteer positions.
