It is my honor and privilege to write this letter of recommendation for
David Printy in support of his application.
I worked with David while he was the Chief Operating and Business
Development Officer at the Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM).
David was put into place during a period of tremendous transition for DUCOM
and was responsible for financially stabilizing DUCOM and returning it to
profitability, expanding the teaching footprint and medical education
quality of the school by putting numerous clinical affiliations and a
strategic plan into place, significantly expanding the clinical research
program, and organizing the physician practice plan.
My association with David was with his leadership of the physician practice
plan, Drexel University Physicians (DUP). David orchestrated the total
redesign of DUP to include the drafting of bylaws and the election of a
governing body. The redesign of DUP was an enormous effort affecting
approximately 400 physicians in 30+ separate geographical locations and he
was able to achieve a firm alignment of the university's mission and vision
despite the wide geographic distribution of the clinical sites. Through
the redesign, service excellence standards for patient experience were
established and implemented, and quality standards were drafted and
executed in every clinical specialty. As DUP's Director of Quality
Improvement and eventually its COO, I worked very closely with David. I
was always impressed by David's practical business acumen. His driving
values are quality, integrity, education and innovation. He is an
excellent communicator who values the team approach and has a vision of the
future while not losing touch with the day-to-day challenges. He is a
powerful influencer and people eagerly join him because he is so adroit at
communicating that vision and his excitement around it.
Thank you for the opportunity to share with you some of my thoughts on
David Printy. He is an exceptional and effective leader who also nourishes
all that are fortunate enough to work with him.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
