Maintenance Supervisor
Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees; inspects work for
completeness; determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used;
prepares maintenance reports and maintains inventory of all supplies; takes
necessary action to safeguard the building during an emergency and reports
to personnel, as directed.
Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary;
maintains time cards and other routine records; coordinates or installs,
inspects, repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and
other related systems in all health department locations.
Coordinates or inspects, operates and maintains the heating, cooling and
ventilation systems (including boiler system) in all health department
locations; does general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security
hardware, hanging shelves and landscaping. Cleans and maintains building
and grounds, buffs, strips and waxes floors, shampoos carpets, replaces
bulbs, and handles snow removable
Coordinates renovations of existing facilities and the construction of new
facilities; coordinates and inspects major contract work on the electrical,
plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in all health department
locations.
Possession of a current and valid motor vehicle operator's license. Assures
that all persons entering the building are authorized to do so; responsible
for knowing the locations and operations of fire alarms, firefighting,
first aid, and other safety equipment
Promotes an overall security and safety awareness throughout assigned areas
of responsibility; completes all Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports,
Supplemental Reports, and other written documents pertinent to the day-to-
day activities of assigned tasks and responsibilities in the manners
required.
Maintains a log book with details of the names, purpose of visit, and entry
and exit times of each and every individual who enters the building;
promotes good public relations through courteous, helpful and professional
contact with tenants and guests and enforces rules and policies of the
property; observes and report safety hazards

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares
items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or
measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information
against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpacks and
examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and
corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
