Objective
Challenge my electronic design skills to best contribute to a project in a team environment at a growing company.
Learn detailed specifics to develop an optimal approach for accomplishing the project’s goals.
Work Experience
Communications Test Design Inc. Electrical Engineer Tracy, CA 10/2013 – 9/2014
Provided a broad range of engineering support for a new testing warehouse of Comcast cable subscriber equipment as
the sole local contact
Performed CATV head-end maintenance & improvement, desktop & network support, and Windows AD admin.
Supported a small management and team, as well as around 100 multipurpose employee workstations across two shifts
Remotely coordinated with corporate engineering and IT teams to report and escalate any problems caused by issues
beyond the local infrastructure
Trained new hire operators about the nuances of their function and the company’s testing systems
Performed RF networking and Cisco IOS management. Optimized Cisco DOCSIS router which resulted in double
testing throughput at no additional cost
Wrote Linux shell scripts to monitor server load and uptime
Utilized SQL Server Management. Studio for test system updating and debugging
Implemented a Wiki on a VMware server and contributed articles towards centralized local documentation
Wrote Batch, PowerShell, and Python scripts to obtain and modify system info and accelerate problem solving
Intel Corp. Intel Ultimate Engr. Experience Intern Folsom, CA 6/2012 – 8/2012
Participated in a six-week training program learning different aspects of engineering for future engineers of Intel
Worked in a team environment while rotating groups per project to keep momentum
Built a quad-rotor helicopter and flew it by wireless laptop control
Prepared and marketed new ideas for household products through Northwestern University’s Engineering, Design and
Communication course
Prepared a business plan for a non-profit organization
Symantec Corp. Technical Assistant Intern Cupertino, CA 9/2007 - 5/2008
Sorted, tested, and repaired company computer assets and provided detailed inventories to supervisor using Excel
M.E.C. Technologies Quality Assurance Intern Cupertino, CA 8/2005 - 5/2006
Tested web applications produced in house for bugs and tracked them using Bugzilla
Education
California State University Sacramento Sacramento, CA 5/2013
B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Projects
Senior Design: Aerobic Exercise Monitor
Lead a team of four to develop a small belt-mounted sensor logging device
Design included tracking of heart rate, walking distance, duration, and location
Used an Atmel microcontroller (programmed in C), 3d accelerometer, GPS module, microSD, polar heart rate strap &
receiver, character display, serial RTC, and Li Ion battery
LabView used as a GUI for raw sensor data
Digital Signal Processing Lab: Using MATLAB
Simulated band-pass filter bandwidths and transition bandwidths in MATLAB. Compared rectangular, triangular,
Hanning, and Chebyshev FIR filters, as well as the Remez algorithm and Yule-Walker IIR
Robotics Lab: Robot Arm Motor Driver
Designed a PCB using CadSoft Eagle for five T.I. H-bridges to drive an older HeathKit robot arm with optical transition
feedback and limit switches and performed reverse engineering to develop an appropriate motor driver circuit with a
TTL interface to any microcontroller
Power Electronics Lab: Multilevel Single Phase Inverter
Simulated in Cadence PSPICE and built a DC to stepped-sinewave AC converter using H-bridges; reported
measurements and comparisons to true sinusoidal power
Skills
3DS MAX, AutoCAD, Cisco CCNA certification materials, Illustrator, Photoshop
