• Perform statistical analysis of product design and production validation testing of Gen III wheel
bearing assemblies. Analyze test requests, test reports, test data, and associated documentation
compiled by Product Engineers and Test Technicians. Facilitate corrections and modifications to
documents as required.
• Author of numerous Standard Test Instructions as a key part in establishing Sandusky’s physical test
laboratory’s certification from General Motors for their new component technical specification
testing. The Sandusky laboratory was the first to receive the certification from General Motors.
• Wrote numerous Product Engineering Procedures, Work Instructions, data sheets, for the test
laboratory as the facility transitioned to new ownership.
• Facilitate the Product Assurance Reporting process for Product Engineering Supervisor. Administer
the report writing and resolution process. Schedule and run a monthly review with supervisors,
engineers and Chief Engineer.
• Handle all Product Engineering issues for the GMT-360 Truck bearing, assisting Manufacturing and
Process Engineering as required. Averted a plant shutdown issue with our ABS sensor supplier by
coordinating expedient changes at supplier and with our GM customer.

revision and release documentation for Gen III wheel bearing assemblies. Responsible for updating
DFMEAs, prototype build plans and DV & PV validation testing as well as the post test analysis.
Revising and releasing component and assembly drawings.
• Developed several new component suppliers and facilitated numerous corrective actions of defective
components. Both situations required on site evaluation of supplier’s processes and procedures to
ensure delivery of components meeting Delphi requirements. Numerous assignments coordinating
purchased component design and change implementation.
• Facilitated the Product Engineering Department Procedures Team. Conducted a monthly meeting
managing the review, revision and release of revised or obsolete Product Engineering Work
Instructions. Briefed the department managers and supervisors on the implementation of the ISO/TS
16949 program in Product Engineering. Received training as an internal auditor and participated in
numerous internal audits.
• Coordinated / Site Champion Material Cost Improvement projects. Developed projects, coordinated
their implementation and provided reports to Sandusky Staff and Delphi Staff. Facilitated VE/VA
workshops to help generate Material Cost Improvement ideas and projects.
• Mentored numerous newly assigned engineer trainees to the Product Engineering Department. Taught
them our Change Management and Technical Information Notice data base used to implement
Engineering Changes. I also advised them on the wide variety of engineering and procedural
requirements for the Engineering Department.

• Directed mission accomplishment for a 130 person Air National Guard Squadron assigned to the Civil
Engineering, Fire Protection and Disaster Preparedness missions.
• Managed squadron operations, facilitated deployments all as a part time / traditional Guardsman. This
included several deployments including an Engineering Deployment to Saudi Arabia.
Chief of Operations & Assistant Chief 1986 -1999
• 179th Civil Engineering Squadron - 179th Airlift Group - Ohio Air National Guard - Mansfield,

• Managed mission accomplishment for a 100 (50) person Squadron with Base Emergency Engineering
Force and Base Maintenance missions. The primary Civil Engineering mission is to accomplish post
attack, expedient repairs to facilities and infrastructure. Organized and led numerous deployments where
we accomplished a variety of construction and renovation projects.
• Directed 6 Superintendents / direct reports whom managed the skilled labor sections of the Squadron. I
ensured the Operations Branch personnel accomplished all technical and professional military training as
required.
