IT Manager, Plant Health Care, Inc., Pittsburgh, PA December 2002-Present

Operational Management – Designed and managed PHC’s information systems infrastructure, including the

specification and procurement of all network, server, telephony, systems, mobile devices and workstation

hardware/software. Developed, administered and tracked the annual IT Department budget, Created and

maintained a disaster recovery plan and procedures for mission critical applications and corporate offices, with

multiple hot sites.

Project Management – Managed the international implementation of SAP Business One and subsequent upgrades

with country-specific add-on software packages and localizations in five countries. Early adoption and

implementation of a cost-saving VoIP telephone system. Specified and managed the build out of network

infrastructure when the corporate office was relocated from UPARC to RIDC and then from RIDC to Raleigh-

Durham, NC. Periodic redesigns of the company website.

Support & Training – Managed and supported hardware and software at three US and four international office

locations, one off-site data center, and multiple home-based sales office locations. Addressed hardware and software

issues on PCs, Macs, servers and network equipment. Created an international helpdesk with existing resources by

identifying and training office or departmental key contacts. Conducted training on MS Office and SAP Business

One applications, in person or via WebEx, including producing documentation available through a Wiki. Created a

series of “lunch and learn” sessions for providing specific training to employees.

WebEx – Managed and supported the WebEx application for the Sales and Executive departments. Provided user

training (in person & through video tutorials), user support, and issue resolution. Performed monthly use-based

project which migrated, cleaned and standardized data entry across departments; conducted periodic database

review and ensured compliance with company data entry standards were followed post-project.

Account Manager – Curated highly focused mailing and telemarketing lists for clients in the IT industry. Analyzed

Committee to establish, and now maintain, an off-leash exercise area (OLEA) for dogs in the Lawrenceville

Neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The Bernard Dog Run was opened in September 2012 after several years of community
