Project Lead

Responsibilities
Coordinating the beginning of a month-long project of warehousing/shipping/receiving loads from Nissan. I
came in and aided in starting and finishing the 150 truckloads /30 day job and ended up completing 200 loads
in 25 days. At the end of the project Scott Caudill decided to keep me working here and brought me in as a
Shipping Lead/Shipping Clerk. On this project I was over 12 forklift operators. Held daily safety meetings.
Accomplishments
I marked off all the lanes in warehouse with proper signage. I was Lead of my crew of 12 fork truck drivers and
paid close attention to doing the job safely. When project was completed, I took down all signage and
supervised the removal of forklifts/propane tanks to complete the job.

Extruder Operator

Responsibilities
I operated a 92mm twin-screw plastic extrusion line. We made several different types of engineered plastics.
Was responsible for corresponding with lab about line samples to keep product in spec. Performed line sample
every 2 hours. Kept loss-weight
feeders filled with proper amount of ingredients as to reduce loss/waste. Communicate with material handler to
make sure proper line production is maintained per product specifications. Responsible for most maintenance
on line and on pelletizer. Loaded finished product into boxes, super sacks, or into rail cars.

Forklift trained. Attended several classes on twin-screw extrusion. Yearly training with fire extinguishers.

Responsibilities
On maintenance crew at a major pigment chemical company. Operated small over-head crane for cleaning
the railcars. Scaffold erecting, fire-watching, and paint yard/ sandblasting, Lock-out Tag-out, pipe insulating,
attended daily safety meetings because of the dangerous environment, used full-face respirator and acid
suits in certain areas, drilled chlorinator bottoms when needed, pulled and cleaned filters on several different
machines, drove fork-lift occasionally hauling super sacks to proper warehouse, and operated back-hoe and
bobcat when needed.

Warehouse Supervisor
New Home Building Store - Columbus, MS - October 1992 to September 2002
Responsibilities
I started for them in the lumber yard delivering building materials. Noticing my work ethic and people skills,
the owner asked me to come and buy and sell building materials inside the store. Bought all of the mouldings
and doors and windows. Ordered all the paint department items. Mixing of paints to match sample. A couple
of years into that, the
opportunity came for me to be the warehouse supervisor. Responsible for hiring/firing of 15 employees.
Responsible for checking, mapping, and dispatching all deliveries. Very fast-paced environment. Daily
inventory counts. Responsible for all shipping and receiving for accuracy.
Accomplishments
Promoted to inside sales and later to Warehouse Supervisor. Bought and sold all types of lumber, windows,
doors, paints, and mouldings. Ran an efficient warehouse that
reduced losses every year.
