Letter o f Recommendation

Thomas Perna

Thomas Perna reported to me at Bardex Corporation in the capacity o f Contract

Administration Supervisor.

Thomas managed the largest contract in the fifty-year history o f Bardex. He was the

chief negotiator during our efforts to win the order, and then continued as the primary

contact with the customer regarding all aspects o f order management, multiple product

change renegotiations, problem-solving, and on-time delivery.

In addition to the above, Thomas negotiated a new long-term service agreement with

one o f o ur giant oil c ompany customers. The undertaking took several months to

accomplish due primarily to the superior bargaining power and resistance o f the

customer. However, Thomas prevailed in the majority o f their "non-negotiable"

provisions, resulting in favorable terms for both sides.

Thomas launched a new pricing and terms policy for spare parts customers as well. In

order to protect Bardex from future liabilities, he successfully clarified and justified the

new requirements and limitations to over thirty repeat business customers.

The major assignments briefly described above were in addition to his supervision o f

the contract administrators, valuable legal assistance to management, and overall

enthusiasm to jump in w herever needed.

-

Thomas is an expert negotiator. He exercises tact, logic, and common sense in order to

support fair and reasonable results. He researches the policies and processes o f

customers, often using them to justify fair play in return.

One o f several competent employees let go as a result o f a recent downturn in

business, Thomas is nonetheless a valuable asset to any business.

Please contact me by phone or email, if you wish, f or a more in-depth discussion o f

Thomas' potential value to your organization.
