Dear Human Resources Division,
This summary expresses my interest in obtaining a position within your organization. Over the
last twenty years, I’ve gained the required training applications utilized in administrative roles
while working in State and Federal Funded employment and I am confident, if given the
opportunity, in adapting and transitioning into your work culture.
My work history consists of business practices working in both the healthcare (Medical
Laboratory Technician) and administrative roles (Administrative Assistant and Human
Resources). These work experiences were instrumental in learning how to properly respond in
critical situations, implementing policies, managing employees coupled with administering bi-
annual evaluations to promote retention, safeguarding required certifications for drivers, such as:
CPR, background checks and CDL registration in compliance with state and federal registrations.
Safety regulations for employees with ethics training in complying with the code of conduct,
establishing an employee handbook and developing an Emergency Exit Plan as required by the
Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. In my last fulltime position, my job required the
coordination and planning for overseeing the day-to-day operations, reporting and disbursement
of funds and assisting the accountant with annual audits. Services provided to area seniors and
disabled participants consist of the following: LIHEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance
Program) for utility payment vouchers to area vendors; home delivered meals; congregate meals;
scheduling transportation throughout the Tri-County (Hinds, Rankin and Madison Counties) for
doctor visits and area shopping. We also assisted with rent/mortgage payments via CSBG
(Community Service Block Grant). These training tools will effectively guide my abilities in
demonstrating leadership and in implementing any planning needs to guarantee the success of
your organization making it a safe and healthy workplace.
In addition to the items listed above, my knowledge and skill sets consist of working as a liaison
between the administrative personnel and County Supervisors along with the reporting of
dockets for monthly board meetings, participating in workshops for each service provided and
assisting the Executive Director with the annual grants needed to support the programs. I also
have excellent leadership in the area employer employee relations and customer service skills
enabling those required training applications for support staff with orientation, hiring needs and
in safeguarding personal information in keeping with those mandates supported by HIPPA. In the
area of office management, I have the following skills: Microsoft Office Proficiency, phone
etiquette, labor relations, workers compensation knowledge, time management, executive
presentation development, payroll and accounting, knowledge of principles and practices of
personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills and excellent
interpersonal skills.
