Our client for this event was the supreme commit tee of

legacy and delivery in Doha, Qatar who won the 2022 bid

for the FIFA world cup in 2010. The purpose of the event

was primarily to test the AC units they want to

i ncorporate into their stadiums for the world cup. We set

u p a ‘Fan Zone’ where members of the public and various

V IP’s could come and watch the matches from the Brazil

2014 world cup on a big screen with a stadium like

a tmosphere. We also hosted many of the world’s media.

D uties: Working closely with suppliers and each venue

m anager to ensure quality food delivered on time and in

perfect condition to each of our venues, Managing a

catering team of 10, coordinated catering requirements

for 315 crew and staff members. We ensured each area

was setup on time, all food accounted for, queue

m anagement in place and each venue we catered for had

everything they required. This role required me to have

effective commu nication skills as well as people managing

skills.

V IP Host – Disney Live 2014

Duties: The first point of contact for VIP’s attending the

show. Responsible for checking tickets, seating guests and

answering questions they may have. Had to demonstrate

effective communication skills as well as excellent

customer service skills.

Registration Supervisor – I nternational Petroleum

Duties: Mainly handling the registration of delegates

a ttending the conference. Also in charge of t raining the

s taff on how to use the registration system and ensuring

gas companies. We also had VVIP’s such as the ex

Canadian Prime M inister in attendance.

Duties: Trained and supervised five teams of volunteers

and supervisors (160 people), Was responsible for

handling any issues during the registration process for

any of the 9 different registration categories.

Workforce Coordinator – World Petroleum Congress

Duties: Set up interviews to hire volunteers, sent emails

and phone calls to follow up with selected members on

t heir availability, information, etc. Was their main contact

i n regards to any questions they had. Created work

schedules for the volunteers in the different functional

a reas.

Duties: Responsible for collecting rent from all tenants

f rom two different apartment buildings. Dealt with

t enants complaints and repairs. Posted adds for vacant

apartments, set up viewing t imes and showed the

apartments, Handled the signing of new leases and
