About Myself

Dr. PONRAJ MOHANADOSS. Today is the one who took under graduation degree in

Microbiology from M.I.E.T Arts and Sciences College, under Bharathidasan

University, Trichy, India in 1998, also holding Masters degree in

Microbiology from ANJAC college under Madurai Kamaraj University, Sivakasi,

India in 2000 and holding PhD degree(Microbiology) from Agharkar Research

Institute under Pune University, Pune, India in 2009. He started his

carrier after master's degree in 2001 as a lecturer in private college at

Tamilnadu, India before doing his Ph.D. He had been teaching in various

subjects related to microbiology such as environmental, food and dairy,

medical and environmental microbiology and biotechnology. Developed keen

interest in environmental studies, wanted to grow up as an environmental

microbiologist and finally pursued the carrier as PhD with respect to

environmental related topic as a main focus. Has guided more than fifteen

final year postgraduate students for their final year project, three M.

Phil microbiology students and one M. Pharmacy student mainly in aspects

related to environmental microbial studies few to mention are textile dye

degradation, EPS production, waste water characterization studies,

Biodegradable plastic production etc.,. Even after the award of the thesis

continued teaching as Assistant Professor in private college in India until

joined as Post Doctorate in the University Technology, Malaysia till date

and involved in various activities of research like making project

proposals for achieving grant, publishing paper in journals, assisting the

PhD students for their research work as technical supervisor. After PhD has

published five papers in the Journal, has received one Indian patent to his

credit for invention of a process for producing copolymer (biodegradable

plastic) from microorganism and has attended various conferences, symposia

and workshops. His main goal in near feature is to develop or create

sustainable environmental conditions related to environmental related

issues which can contribute to human welfare, to create awareness and to

protect the environment from further depicts whose benefits can be served

even to the oncoming generations.
