The ICU nurse involves them running from one end of the unit to the other and back
again throughout their shift. They are responsible for patient care, including medicating
patients, examining patients, and reporting to the attending doctor as to the current
condition of the patient. This is one of the most-intense jobs in a nursing career, which is
why there is so much education and experience required before one can be qualified to
work in the ICU.

ill newborns or those who have had a premature birth or newborn problems; taking the
baby’s vital signs, changing diapers, feeding babies and giving medicines at the right time
in right quantity as prescribed by the doctors.

Typical work activities vary according to the role of a nurse in Surgery ward.

intravenous infusions;

healthcare professionals.
