Hired as a temporary D.O.D. contractor to build various electro mechanical assemblies,
Lasers, bonding and laser aligning optics for L3 ALST Communications. Assemble
various eye safe and non eye safe laser products from base level housings to upper level
complete systems. Installation of various lasers into Laser Range Guidance Systems.
Installation of various wire harness/ cable assemblies into various sub assemblies/ final

Hired as a temporary employee to assemble and test various fiber optic products for
Teledyne Oil & Gas. Assembly of various fiber optic stem assemblies. Use of time and
heat curing epoxies to bond ceramic ferrules into peek and titanium stems. Using various
fixtures for small heat curing ovens. Verifying proper placement of ferrule into stems with a
go no go fixture mesuring total length of product in tenthousandths. Verification of proper
placement dimensionally with a T.I.R. test measuring spherical dimensioning of stem in
tenthousandths. Pull test of ferrule and stems to check durability of epoxying process with
a 10% of batch test.Placement of fiber optics 250 micron and 900 micron sized into stem
assemblies, bonding of fibers to stems with 24hr heat/ time curing epoxies. Use of Norland
Test Equipment to conduct concentricity testing to verify spherical heights of fiber. Use of
Norland Interferometer to verify spherical dimensioning, fiber height, fiber surfacing,
geometrical dimensioning of fiber structure to verify x,y and z axis to show center of stem.
Machine and hand polishing of various fiber optic assemblies and products. Hyperbaric
Testing of stems, ferrules, and fiber optics from 1500psi to 10,000psi. Using Omega
meters, JGR GMS testing equipment and Autotank software programs. Cutting of various
guage teflon jumpers cables/ hoses to appropriate lengths. Removal of inner strands of
fiber and rubber to expose teflon strands of wrap before inner layer of hose Hose prep.
Installation of various boot seals, and titanium and braised titanium connectors for sub sea
assemblies. Pulling of fiber optics,250 micron, and 900 micron guage fibers from 5 feet
long to over 300ft long thru jumper hoses and prepping fiber optic ends to various strip
lengths for various sub sea applications. Troubleshooting various IL and RL reading issues
with various grit polishing papers, lasers, index matching gel, dow and corning oil, Agilent
multimeters, Agilent powermeters, O.T.D.R.(optical time domain reflectance). All worked
