Responsible for the Nursing Service Directors for the efficient, economical, and orderly

the doctors order pertaining to the care, treatment, administration of medicines, comfort of patients,

Duties and Character of Work:
Receives endorsement from outgoing shift through the Kardex.
Receives the floor and make rounds with the outgoing shift.
Goes with the doctors rounds when needed.
Admit and discharge patient and check the charts if complete including laboratory and
diagnostic procedures.
Take charge of medications, injection, and complicated treatments.
Give nursing care regardless of case with priority to the serious patients.
Prepare set and assist physician in administering highly specialized treatments and procedures.
Transcribe doctor’s order to the kardex; carry out correctly and promptly in conformity with
hospital policy and legal limitations.
Observe for the patients progress and deterioration then refer.
Assist and supervise the orderlies.
Follow-up patient's prescription and medicine stocks.
Answer calls from the patients promptly.
Orient patients and folks on the hospital facilities, policies, rules and regulations.
Give health teaching and post hospital instruction to the patient’s folks.
Reinforce the explanation of physician's regarding treatment with your limits.
Check the emergency stock in the cabinet and see to it that emergency medicines are always
available.
Make diet list to the patient,
Make requisitions of sterile supplies and other materials from the CSR.
See to it that the equipments receive proper care and maintenance.
Does other related duties assigned by the Nursing Service Office.
