Project Experience Summary
Project: Thermo-Elastic Instability of Disk Brake Using ANSYS 14.0
Project Location: ADCET ASHTA
Project Description:
The problem of structural vibration (dynamic) analysis of the disc
brakes of maruti 800 car has become critical with increase in
excitation forces. This results in high natural frequencies of free
vibration. The paper aims at complete FEM analysis of disc brakes for
identification of modal analysis. It is analyzed for natural
frequency, rigid body mode shape by ANSYS. The work in project is
aims towards four different analysis steps.
Disk Brake modeling is done in software CATIA and this model is tested
for its properties under different working conditions using software
ANSYS 14.0
