Professional Work Experience:

July 2013-Present Maintenance Manager & Production supervisor, PolyOne Plastics, Louisville Ky.

Oversee and coordinate all phases of plant maintenance, capital projects, contractor activities associated with

the 200 thousand plus Louisville facility. Responsible for administration of million dollar maintenance

budget. Administrator for e-maint and direct supervisor of 4 maintenance personnel and 35 production

personnel in two different Union settings. Safety officer and management negotiator for union matters.

Directly oversees plant power infrastructure to include harmonics, power factor reduction and steam usage.

Coordinated plant shift realignment and infrastructure costs reductions to accomplish corporate long term

goals. Designed and initiated company wide policy for Predictive maintenance and vibration analysis.

Certified as Dynamic vibration analyst level 3 through Vibration Institutes. Participated in C line Kaizen for

material change reduction. Designed, Engineered and Fabricated; Line automated diverter chute, Partial tote

recovery rack, and Mixer blade safety removal tool. Designed and Engineered Plasticizer tank farm RTU

integration. Selected as SME for Modicon, AB & Provox capital integration project. Maintenance subject

matter expert (SME) for green belt project for Gels and free radicals in F0-19 Antimony blending, Scrap

reduction, Louisville site.

Feb 2012- July 2013 Technical Supervisor II, Sunoco Logistics Mid Valley Pipeline, Oxford Ms. Technical

engineer for all aspects of continuous operation of the 500 mile pipeline. Directly supervising 3 electrical

technicians and 2 mechanical technicians in a union environment. Responsible for a budget of 1.5 million

dollars and special projects in excess of 1/4 million dollars. Advised technicians on work to be performed

involving SCADA controls and protocols, pump repairs, medium voltage equipment maintenance, NEC,

OSHA, DOT, NFPA, ANSI and API compliance. Designed and oversaw Mayersville, MS pumping station

electrical overhaul, integration and upgrade. Designed and installed RTUs for pumping station and multi tank

control. Designed protocols and topography for enhanced system reliability. Designed cost savings

initiatives at 3 off line pumping stations through medium voltage use reductions that would result in a cost

savings in excess of 275,000 dollars per year in annual operating costs. Enacted several SOPs in the district

that enhanced system reliability and ensured system integrity including navigatible waterway block valve

moisture abatement. Oversaw AB HMI integration at New Johnsonville, Tn pumping station. Rewarded by

company through advanced supervision placement ahead

of advancement matrix. 2013 Oxford district representative in Sunoco ATM (annual technical meeting) as

electrical & instrumentation subject matter expert. Travel approximately 1000 miles per week throughout

Feb 2003 – Feb 2012 Engineering-Inventor, Dimensional Technologies LLC, Upton Ky Invented and

Engineered 1st & 2nd generation polystyrene recycling processing apparatus and method. Designed and

formulated extensive viability studies on new plastisizer added plastic. Oversaw, wrote, drafted and initiated

applications for Apparatus and method Patents. Awarded 3 patents through the United States Patent and

Trade Office. Lead negotiator on purchase of former company and reduction related patents. Negotiated

sale, distribution and licensing scenarios of company and equipment. Established royalties distribution.

Designed, engineered and Oversaw construction of 3 million pound plastic recycling facility. Constructed

and installed automation control panels. Programmed HMI logic controllers. Oversaw start up and

production debugging phases. Initiated production goals and quality control standards.

Jan 2002 – Jan 2003 Plant Engineer, Densified Solutions LLC, Elizabethtown Ky 75,000 year staff of 5

Engineered and Designed 60 KW solvent/styrene distiller system. Oversaw and directed the conceptual idea

of Expanded Polystyrene reclamation and plastic recovery. Was company point on legal, patent, design,

profitability and inception. Oversaw all company contract negotiations and implementations of design.

Orchestrated and set up system symposiums and engineering design sessions. Was liaison between all

equipment suppliers, installers and engineers. Set up and designed production goals and quality control

standards.

Mar 1996 – Jan 2002 President/Treasurer, SandCom Mechanical Inc. Upton Ky 67,00 year staff of 10

SandCom was a complete Mechanical Contracting company, we installed commercial and industrial HVAC

equipment and related components. I also installed and welded high pressure gas lines, installed industrial air

equipment and piping, installed control cabinets and ran related plc cables and connections, built and

designed expanded polystyrene high temperature cutting equipment, installed electrical services to machinery,

designed and built steel fabricated elevation equipment. Installed and serviced reciprocating and centrifugal

chillers. Installed and made cooling and ozonator connections to injection molding equipment. Designed and

built MMI panels as cost saving measures in commercial and industrial settings.

Mar 1992 – Mar 1996 Maintenance Supervisor, Mouser Kitchens, Inc, Elizabethtown, Ky 49,000 year staff of 5

Setup and designed numerous production cost cutting measures to include a design of factory production

machinery layout. Setup and initiated a preventative maintenance program and a comprehensive predictive

program. Cut production down time by one- third. On shelf Inventory reduced 35%. Put forth cost cutting

measures in Kvar and load utilization. Troubleshot PLC failures and control cabinet malfunctions on

480/208/3ph equipment. Troubleshot and repaired AC frequency drive conveyor systems. Designed and

drafted all prints and Research and Development experiences. Project manager for 3 million dollar plant

expansion, oversaw structural erection and certified air house welding.

Jan 1990 – Mar 1992 Maintenance Supervisor, New Tech Enterprises, Inc Bonnieville, Ky 35,00 year staff of 3

Responsible for all maintenance and related activities or Research and Development and machining.

Designed and initiated DC motor servo feed production methods. Replaced outdated circuit boards and relay

systems and programmed servo feeds, installed new 2000 amp 480/3ph switchgear service. Troubleshot and

supervised repair of all pumps, presses, dyes and factory related production needs. Formulated, designed and

supervised installation of electrostatic powder assembly and porcelain baking assembly. Only in plant Hayes

lab certified welder.

Mar 1987 – Jan 1990 Project Manager, McNutt Construction Inc Elizabethtown Kentucky

Superintendent and oversaw completion of Department of Defense, Naval Ordinance Power plant

modifications (4.3 Million). Welder and rigger for all DOD structural steel building contracts. Supervised

construction and installation of all piping, electrical, steel and start-up operations related to Ft Knox hanger

and maintenance upgrades. Troubleshot boiler start up problems and blue chip safeguard malfunctions on

newly constructed buildings. Troubleshot pump problems and adjusted flows and aligned pumps.

Jan 1984 – Mar 1987 Service Technician, Four Seasons HVAC, Glendale KY

Serviced Energy management systems and installed the same. Designed and installed Honeywell EM system

for the Saint Matthews mall, Louisville Ky. Troubleshot PLCs, repaired equipment, installed remote terminal

units, balanced load startup and lighting loads. Installed and repaired boilers, chillers, pumps and related

equipment. Only WG-10 certified US Army HVAC technician on staff.

Jan 1983 – Jan 1984 Service Technician, Addie S. French Plumbing Heating & Cooling, Elizabethtown, Ky

Installed, serviced and repaired gas, water and oil heating systems. Installed serviced and repaired water and

refrigerant cooling systems.

Scheduled maintenance for A-10 aircraft, scheduled training for squadron members, wrote performance
