DUTIES: Supervise, lead and train skilled A/P aircraft mechanics with safety first, quality
assurance, monthly evaluations, job guides and technical manuals. Maintain aircraft forms
and records to determine aircraft airworthiness and safety of flight. Manage the maintenance
production effort by assigning priorities to meet the flying and maintenance schedules.

POSITION: C-5/C-17 Aircraft Crew Chief
DUTIES: Follow detailed maintenance and repair procedures, job guides and technical orders
while performing the inspection, repair and modification of the aircraft. Evaluate and maintain
highly complex hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components. Perform pre-flight
thru-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft, including structures, landing gear, engines,
instruments, cockpits, cabins, flight surfaces and controls. Maintain aircraft forms and records
to determine and accomplish maintenance actions required to correct malfunctions indicated
in aircraft forms and clear forms on completion of maintenance. Perform launch and recover
duties of aircraft systems and sub-systems. Service oil, de-icing, fueling, servicing pneudraulic
and oxygen systems. Identify corrosion and apply protective measures. Tow and park aircraft,
perform engine removal, installation and run-up of engines, obtain engine oil samples for
analysis, operate and maintain powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment.

DUTIES: Worked with componentsfromC-130 and C-5 Aircraft. Inspected, overhauled,
repaired, modified and tested pneudraulic servos, flight controls, pumps, actuators and manifolds
to insure all operational tests and specifications were met.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
• Certified Crew Chief, Lead Tech on C-5 Aircraft. Served as Flying Crew Chief from
Nov 1989 to July 2009 and logged more than 7000flyinghours.
• Created and implemented numerous training curriculum and training tools.
• Helped build the Travis AFB flight line hazardous waste collection sight.
• The first Flying Crew Chief from Travis AFB toflyinto Baghdad Iraq International
Airport.
