PROJECT

Project Title:

SUPRA SAEINDIA Student Formula.

Description:

The SUPRA SAEINDIA 2014 is a competition held for UG & PG engineering students with the task

of designing, modeling and fabricating a formula one type racing car. The concept behind SUPRA

SAEINDIA 2014 is that an imaginary manufacturing company has contacted a design team to

develop a small Formula style race car which would be evaluated in each and every aspect.

LEADERSHIP QUALITY

• Team leader for the ‘Engine and Transmission’ subsystem for the SUPRA2014 event.

• House captain for the sports and cultural committee during higher secondary

education.

• Implant Training at WABCO INDIA LTD, Chennai,

• Attended a workshop in ENERGY SCAVENGING by EnOcean at Anna University, Chennai.

• Positioned 38th place in India for fabricating Student Formula conducted by SAEINDIA.

• Qualified GATE 2014 with 410 Marks.

• Won 1st prize in a Paper Presentation titled ‘Optimization and weight reduction in gears’ by

SAEINDIA.

• Won 2nd Prize for paper titled ‘Peristaltic Inflation in Tyres’ in symposium conducted at SriRam

engineering college,Chennai.

• Won 3rd Prize in ‘Industry Defined Problem’ conducted by IIT BOMBAY,Radiance 2014.

• Presented a paper entitled “Optimization of Energy Consumption Using Absorption

Refrigeration System In Refineries” at the International conference on Mechanical and

Production Engineering.

• Attended the International Gas Turbine Institute Conference held in VIT university,Vellore.

• Participated in JUNKYARD WARS held at IIT MADRAS and many other mechanical events in

various college symposiums.
