1. Developed a novel ion exchange LC-MS/MS method for hydrophilic/polar
compounds, choline and arginine, in biological matrix using HP1100
LC- Micromass Quanttro II ESI-MS/MS, and confirmed that choline
level is elevated in myocardial necrosis patients. This work of
quantitation of small molecules in biofluids is similar to DMPK
study
2. Identified caspase 3 enzyme cleavage sites of recombinant membrane
protein cNHE1 using Bruker LCT Premier ion-trap MS/MS
3. Identified post-translational modifications of recombinant
glycoprotein Pigment Epithelium Derived Factor by LC-MS/MS and
identified glycosylation sites after trypsin digestion
4. Purified recombinant protein cNHE1 using size-exclusion, ion-
exchange and reversed-phase LC
5. Developed gradient chromatofocusing ion exchange technique to
separate proteins of different isoelectric points
