SAFETY MANAGER 480-***-**** **************@*****.***

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

J.B. Henderson Construction Inc.- May 2013 to Present

Hired as a safety manager on a Base Build project at a silicon chip manufacturing facility, I handled the day to day

activities that are required in a ground up build. These activities included: daily project planning meetings, safety

coordination meetings, risk assessment, risk mitigation, emergency response, site specific training and safety

leadership. I assisted with coordinating the safety plan according to contract documents. A site specific Job Hazard

Analysis was drafted which included; rigging, fall protection, welding materials, welding practices, industrial

cleaning solutions, high pressure tests, and heat illness, which were just a few risks considered in this plan. When

performing high risk activities, where engineering could not mitigate the risk, Personal Protective Equipment was

my responsibility to procure and verify that training was current. Most recently, I have been working with process

piping crews at an operational semiconductor manufacturing plant where we were all exposed to heavily

concentrated gasses and liquids that have high pressures, acute toxicity, pyrophoric, flammable and corrosive

properties.

Corbins Electric- November 2007 to May 2013

Hired as a Project Manager, I worked in the Small Projects Division where I oversaw several TI projects along with

managing clients in the aeronautics manufacturing and testing industries. These were critical projects that dealt

with national security and usually with harmful chemicals. These were scheduled events that required coordination

between several sources. We also performed preventative maintenance on these aging facilities. Temporary power

was brought in to maintain critical systems. Crews from 80 to 100 persons were coordinated on different shifts to

clean, lubricate, torque and test the main breakers throughout the campus’ to meet the designated schedules.

After work hours, I volunteered as an instructor in Corbins “In-house” apprentice program and the Arizona Builders

Alliance. I led their EEW, CPR, First aid and Defensive Driving Training. In late 2008 I moved to the Purchasing

Department where I organized and synchronized this department with Estimating, Project Management, Accounts

Payables, Accounts Receivables, Prefab Department and Field Purchases. I authored and negotiated partner

agreement contracts with our closest vendors to further develop our business partnerships. I was in charge of

placing buy out packages on lighting and gear packages. I worked with our vendors and wire manufacturers to

procure wire futures. This led to managing the warehouse and prefab shops as well. In 2012, I made a transition

into the Safety Department where I was asked to manage several safety coordinators, organize the safety and

environmental audits, organize a training plan to accommodate for over 300 employees, as well as managing the

day to day activities at a microchip facility, similar to the coordination and leadership activities listed above.

Canyon State Electric -May 1999 to April 2002 and April 2004 to November 2007

Hired as a Journeyman, I quickly moved to Lead Journeyman to Foreman, to General Foreman. After completing a

4 story cancer treatment hospital, I attended Purdue’s Project Managers school and finished my career with

Canyon State working as a Project Manager, Estimator and Purchasing Manager.

Circle G Diversified-June 1988 to May 1999 and April 2002 to April 2004

While finishing high school and working through my college career I played a significant role in our family electrical

business. Our business was built around the health care industry where we did everything from remodeling

Emergency Rooms, waiting rooms, PET Scan installations to heliports for their aeronautical division. Eventually,

partnering with a general contractor, my father and I managed larger projects as a General Contractor for the

Defense Department and the FAA.
