Performed outside contractor safety presentation work in regards to work place safety around the
country. Concentration consisted of setting up via power point a workplace inspection / overview
of high hazard areas for automotive shops, engineering and administrative controls, PPE. I have
also written for ATRA gear magazine in areas of Hybrid car electrical safety and written the
“10 safety topics for technicians” for Lance Wiggins who is the Technical Director for ATRA
(Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association). I recently had written an article over a
Military CUCV in May 2014, Motor Age.
January- March 2014, successfully performed contractor work for Newell Rubbermaid,
Roswell GA. Main emphasis on machine shop safety. Training is being delivered by lecture and
hands on instruction on various machines used for research and development. Basic safety
training is being accomplished through power point delivery using the OSHA 29 CFR
PART1910 / EPA, NFPA 10 guidelines in regards to hazardous waste removal.
Alternative Fuels Special project 2013
Have successfully installed complete propane fumigation system on a 1986 S-10 that improved
both drivability and gas mpg and have work with ECO Power in research and development to
provide feedback on system bugs and propane flow characteristics.

Certified Transmission’s Over 15 year’s driveline / general repair experience in a
part time capacity
ASE Master Certified transmission, transfer case, rear drive axle rebuilding, electronic
diagnosing, servicing all types of foreign and domestic units. Maintains strict quality control
during rebuilding processes to ensure a quality built hydraulically / electrically tested final
products. General auto repair is done also in regards to electrical system, brake and suspension
component replacement including motor replacement on selected vehicles. Restocking of auto
parts, transmission kits, oil, is a weekly tasking. Maintains good relationship with vendors TPU
and WIT whom are my main transmission part companies. O’Reilly Auto Parts is my main
general repair auto part vendor. Ensures adequate inventory and orders parts orders are within

Attends at least 2 local and 1 out of state transmission / general repair and management seminars
the last 10 years to keep up with changing automotive and light truck technology. Does periodic
maintenance on automotive equipment and welding equipment so that the equipment performs as
needed to provide safe and efficient operation. Welding and fabrication and painting are also
done on site for restoration purposes of customer vehicles. Ensures proper disposal of waste oil

hangars, maintenance and administrative areas, hazardous material sites, recreation areas that

inspections (Lake Allatoona). Performs workplace safety and hazmat and ergonomic

USMC VMGR 234/452 Ft. Worth TX./Newburgh NY 2/96 - 8/2003 USMC
GySgt RET. C-130J Ground Safety Manager 7.5 year’s safety and hazmat
experience, received 2 Navy Achievement metals for safety efforts.
Performed all workplace safety and hazmat inspections as per Marine Safety Instructions
(MARADMIN), local instruction, OSHA 29 CFR 1910. Prepared written local safety regulations
for Commanding Officer review and carried out and enforced regulations as required. Performed
all safety indoctrination training as per the 29 CFR 1910.1200 for new Marines and Sailors
aboard the squadron. Worked in conjunction with the local base HAZMAT team to comply with
base regulations on the proper storage and disposal of hazardous waste IAW EPA 40 CFR aboard
both bases that I was assigned to. Monitored VOC’s emitted during aircraft spray painting
operations for VMGR 234, and forwarded results to base environmental office. Worked as a
trained Respiratory manager performing fit test for all squadron personnel assigned to paint shop,
hazmat, HVAC, aircraft mishap team members and documented all paper work in regards to the
respiratory program IAW 29 CFR 1910.134. Performed all mishap investigations for military
personnel assigned to VMGR 234/452. Was the Group Safety Manager in Newburgh and was
accountable for 5 separate buildings and various job processes that went on in them. Aircraft
maintenance hangars (2), supply / distribution building, squadron hazardous waste facility, off
site barracks facilities and base housing. Performed administrative ergonomic inspections and
made recommendations to the Commanding Officer for workplace design modifications to fit the
workplace to the worker. Was instrumental in making major changes to squadron’s maintenance
departments PPE for working on the flight line by using simple reflective belts that did not
interfere with maintenance activity. Reflective vest were getting tangled up causing them to tear
under the landing gear. Performs fire extinguisher inspections in administrative and high hazard
areas monthly and keeps accountability of all fire extinguishers assigned IAW NFPA 10.
Performs base housing safety inspections for in home child care. As a collateral duty, performed
computer IMRL inspections to note any changes to designated office computer locations and
office computer totals to help eliminate theft to assigned computers. Perform annual workplace
IH inspections and make changes that reflect the summary of changes in the workplace in
regards to different work processes, noise levels. With these inputs a change in administrative,
engineering or at the least PPE controls could be mandated to protect the worker. Provided 7, 3
hour safety stand downs to Marine and Sailors prior to the holidays from the years 1997-2003
that was over off duty activities such as drinking and driving, off duty recreational safety, work
place safety for over 500 Marines and Sailors. Prior to retirement from USMC, received a grade
of outstanding from the MARFORESS VMGR 452 safety inspection team on site visit from New
Orleans LA. I received a letter of commendation and 2 Navy Achievement awards for my

all service’s in 2002.
