Simulation of microstructure evolution of steel using MICRESS

Microstructure evolution of steels during solid state transformations was extensively studied.

M.Tech

MICRESS utilizes multiphase field theory along with a set of supplied input parameters to show

the temporal and spatial evolution of microstructure during the transformation.

Castability studies of medium carbon re-sulphurised grade steel

Secondary steel making slag at different stages was focused and the influence of slag nature

on castability have been studied and the relevant suggestions given for improving the castability.

Use of high density charcoal as a carburizer in ductile iron manufacturing

Analyzing the carbon pickup value of high density charcoals and introducing these charcoal

which having high carbon pickup value for the production of ductile iron.
