Starbucks Coffee Company
District Manager – Store Manager – Assistant Manager
Joining the company as an Assistant Manager I was able to grasp quickly the importance my role. Customer
service and the training of my employees were the staples. Excelling at this enabled me to become a Store Manager
after 6 short months. As a Store Manager my responsibility grew and I also became passionate about customer
service and developing my partners. I consistently hit customer service targets as a Store Manager and a District
Manager. I also helped develop many partners into higher positions. I was also very proud that I had over 10
partners become future Store Managers. After 6 years I was promoted to a District Manager. In this role I was
expected to maintain a $10 million operation. I now had to teach 11 Store managers how to develop their partners
so in turn they could deliver great customer service. As a district my profit and loss statements consistently hit
company targets and showed the trend of perfecting on gross margin year over year.
