Project Background:
Accushare is a project intended to produce a system which will act as a transfer agency system for
Fidelity International Limited (FIL), Fidelity International Ventures Limited (FIVL) and FIL

the users of the system.
This system will comprise of two applications - back office application (intranet) and share holder

The portal is made for doctors. Here is list of portlets.
1. Login Portlet: Allows the physicians to login to the system.
2. Calendar Portlet: Allows a physician to view his/her calendar and select a
calendar entry to open the associated patient’s past records. It links the calendar,
the physicians and the patients.
3. Past Record Portlet: This portlet accesses the medical records for a given
patient_id and displays them.
4. New Record Portlet: This portlet enables a physician to enter current diagnosis,
procedures, medications etc. for the selected patient_id. The data becomes part of
the patient’s medical records. A new clinical document is created every time a
new record is created by this portlet.
5. Medical Knowledge Search Portlet: This enables the physician to search the
medical knowledge sources for patient’s current diagnosis, in the context of the
patient’s past diagnosis. The portlet displays the related urls.
6. Drug Knowledge Search Portlet: This enables the physician to search the drug
knowledge sources for patient’s current medications, in the context of the patient’s
past prescriptions. The portlet displays the related urls.
7. Clustering/Classifying Portlet: This portlet takes the search portlet results and
clusters them or classifies them.
8. Automatic Query Generation Portlet: This portlet takes the current diagnosis or
medication unstructured text entered by the physician, annotates it for medical
terms and shows the result in a display text box. This can be used to extract the
current diagnosis or medication without the physician having to enter this

explicitly in structured form. For example, for identifying the diagnosis term in
annotated current diagnosis unstructured text data, it searches for the biological
terms with UMLS class as ‘sign or symptom’ or ‘disease or syndrome’. Similarly
to identify medications from the annotated medication free flowing text, it
searches for the biological terms with UMLS class as ‘pharmalogical substance’
or ‘organic chemical’ etc.
