District Manager - Responsible for administrative, operational, maintenance

and compliance matters for a 1,500 ton per day Sub-title D landfill in

Wellford, SC.

Manages day-to-day operations of the district, and provides daily support

to managers in ensuring quality and budget performance.

Monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving

processes, procedures, and performance.

Executes the Market's strategic capital budget, ensuring effective use of

the budget through asset allocation; ensures appropriate spare ratios and

asset disposal.

Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with

Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.

Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents,

following-up with consistent discipline and retraining.

Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching,

disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance.

Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in

conjunction with the Market Area General Manager and/or Director of

Operations.

Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure that budgets are met;

develops and implements programs for optimal equipment utilization,

equipment maintenance, and labor and materials.

Interacts with local city, municipal, and county agencies to ensure

2006 to January 2008

Assistant Utilities Director/Solid Waste Director

Administered operations of the Waste Management Division of the Hernando

County, FL Public Utilities Department. Managed a $12,000,000 operating

budget and extensive capital improvement budget to include an upcoming

$12,000,000 landfill expansion project.

Managed annual revenues that exceed $15,000,000. Hired trained and

supervised division's personnel. Made independent decisions and developed

procedures for implementing changes in operations, accounting, methods and

administrative systems and supervises implementation. Prepared, analyzed

and implemented annual budget reports.

Environmental Scientist/ Hurricane Recovery Construction Project Manager

Responsible for direct management of all Environmental, Solid Waste,

Recycling, and Pollution Prevention programs for Langley AFB in direct

support of the Environmental Flight of the 1st Civil Engineering Squadron.

Specifically, duties included direct and daily management of the following

programs: Hazardous Materials, Solid Waste, Recycling, Environmental

Management Information System, Affirmative Procurement, and EPCRA Program

with Tier II & Form R reporting responsibility, Ozone Depleting Substance,

and Hazardous Materials Management Program Cross Functional Team Chief.

Recycling/Environmental Programs Manager/ Waste Stream Manager

Managed public education on solid waste management and recycling programs.

Prepared and gave presentations to commercial, government, schools and

community groups. Collected data pertaining to cost and performance
