SUBJECT: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, et al
I have done many years of various applications within data entry (alpha-numeric), regarding legal documents
(for attorneys; automotive and aircraft sectors), lumber footage (for Oregon wholesalers) and many service
bureaus (including IBM), for many applications of statistical gathering(s), in two countries (Australia and
USA).
Upon completion of a short contract as an administrative assistant, in accounts receivables, I was given, as well
as a ten-week assignment, through Spherion (now Randstad), as an administrative assistant, where I was
tasked with electronic file data management, for Accenture, in Human Resources. I also composed itineraries
for a travel agency, as an independent contractor, for two months, as well as designing spreadsheets for sales’
event comparisons and composing itinerary maps of proposed “journeys” and the sights to be visited coded into
the maps.
As a contractor, through Manpower Staffing, I worked at Pratt and Whitney’s Aftermarket division, as a file
coordinator, dealing with the voluminous paperwork generated on maintenance of F-100 engines on F-15 and F-
16 jets, located at Kelly USA. I also worked at Time-Warner Cable, as an auditor within the IT department,
where I was tasked with their entire IT personnel listings (300 employees), bringing their personnel paperwork
to a ‘current’ status before their independent subcontractor auditors were due to be on premises. They also
tasked me with cataloging and inventorying their entire telephone system, building-wide, accounting for every
outlet, extension number and model of the telephone system installed and its voicemail capabilities working
from the building’s blueprints. This was through Spherion-Mergis Staffing (Randstad).
I have been with Spherion (Randstad) and Manpower staffing agencies and as an independent contractor for
several years. They have kept me working in a variety of administrative positions, including Lear-Siegel (data
processing of C-26 prop jet maintenance and airframe reports Excel applications); Sirius Computer Solutions
(marketing/ events coordinator, editing/ standardizing IBM online-class submission(s), year-end closing out of
events); ESRI (special projects' assistant); San Antonio Board of Realtors [SABOR], Multilisting Services'
Department [MLS] (custom software technical help desk); San Antonio River Authority [SARA]; Pate
Engineering (reception); Project: Stay (data entry); St. Mary’s University, Undergraduate Admissions (file

coordinator and university switchboard); Holt Cat (payroll clerking); McComb Enterprises as a contractor
executive administrative assistant for the “gently accommodated” vehicles; and a wide variety of other venues
in and around San Antonio.
During my seven months working for USAA, I delved into five different positions, among them being a
transcriptionist (depositions) and designing/compiling an Excel spreadsheet for their 800 numbers (company-
wide). I contacted each 800-number’s recipient to determine its status: numbers USAA paid for and were still in
practical company use or numbers no longer utilized or owned by USAA, but USAA was still paying on. It was
also my input to compile and compute the cost paid out for those numbers over a fiscal quarter, especially the
no-longer USAA-owned numbers, but not yet dropped from the AT&T billing.
Additional positions were as a call-center representative for Earthlink, selling DSL and dial-up services, as well
as telephone banks/voting stations for Bexar County Elections, among many other similar positions. In
Portland, Oregon, I worked for Hanna Andersson Clothiers, as a telephone-order processor, as well as billing/
shipping/receiving orders in the warehouse and as a sales secretary for a major lumber and hardware
brokerage. In Detroit, Michigan, I temped through Kelly Services for the automotive industry’s seat-belt
research and development division; as a sales secretary for ordering and building vehicles in an automotive
leasing company; and executive administrative assistant for the vice president of North American Steering
and Suspension, as well as administrative assistant for TRW hardware.
My military positions were as an Administrative Technician, Supervisory Level 7, and Public Affairs
Technician, Level 5. In uniform, I spent eight consecutive years at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mt.
Clemens, Michigan, functioning in both public affairs and administrative capacities, in which one of the tasks
was designing, compiling and writing technical manuals for training purposes over three consecutive years. All
total, I have served two decades, my last position within the United States Air Force Reserve, 433rd Wing,
Headquarters, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, as a Public Affairs Specialist. The military and the corporate
structure has given me a wealth of experience and honed my skills to take on virtually any task assigned or not
for accomplishment.
I have accrued the necessary software skills: Excel, Access, Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and Lotus
Notes. My organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills are excellent, and, even though I have good
teamwork habits, I am able to work exceedingly well independently and with initiative. Nearly all my
background has evolved in and around fast-paced, multifaceted environments. Although I have college credits, I
do not have a college degree, but I, additionally, have returned to further my education in order to keep up with
the work arena. I have passed and operated under both top secret and secret clearances, as well as being bonded.
Currently, I have three part-time positions in which one is in working for Rosemarie Acerra, General Manager,
Jason’s Deli, Colonnade location, in counting five cash drawers; preparing same for the next shifts’ use;
entering paperwork for same into Excel spreadsheets for reconciling; depositing the shift’s monies; counting the

safe twice each shift; and doing administrative tasks as needed with or without direction. Ms. Acerra’s cell
phone is 210-***-**** (her personal cell). This is, currently, an on-call position.
I, also, clean offices for Dr. Henry Bernstein, PhD, Owner-Consultant, Gas Turbine Materials Associates
(GTMA), on alternate Sundays. Dr. Bernstein’s office administrator is Mr. Warren Lieberman, 210-***-****
(business cell). If you need to speak with Mr. Lieberman regarding my efforts over the years’, please feel free
to contact him.
You may also contact Ms. Griselda Arocha, Senior Recruiter, Spherion (now Randstad) Staffing, 210-***-****
(office), regarding my work in the coordination of the National Career Fairs events, San Antonio, but no longer
handled from her office location.
Please leave a message on my home Magicjack recorder and I will reply as soon as possible. I look forward to
speaking with you, in the near future.
Respectfully,
Jana Leland
